But somehow he owes you not going to direct rival? Loyality is a funny thing, man. It works both ways.

The best move for you was to offload him last summer when he still had 2 years in contract. At this point the club really doesn't have much say in the matter, Cech will go where he wants. Holding club legend hostage in reserves to block a transfer would be PR nightmare of epic proportions.

Cech doesn't owe us anything either. He can head where he wants but as he is under contract with us, Chelsea still have a say over his final destination

As far as I'm concerned, Cech can play for Liverpool if he so desires. We must keep in mind, that football is a professional environment, not a soap opera. If I were to leave my company right now, why wouldn't I join a rival? Moral obligation? It doesn't put bread on the table.
The man wants to stay in London, and wants to win trophies: Arsenal is the only other team besides us, that can promise him that.
We don't have to like his decision to join Arsenal, but a man can't build his career/future on the opinions of others. I sure as **** wouldn't.
Good luck to Petr wherever he goes, and thanks for all the trophies he put his shoulder too.

Well said. Ideally I'm sure he would have retired at Chelsea, but he can't because to do so means to not play. And a keeper like him isn't done yet.

Actually the ACL directly affected him because it was the turn of pace he was missing for us, time and again. His work ethic was outstanding, and there was a lot of affection for him, it just didnt work out. That said it takes 18 months to heal from and ACL so it was always against him at United.

At 5m fee and 190k its a gamble, especially if you lose Remy, but a better placed gamble than before.

IIRC it's the third time he injured his knee and this time he looked shot. Absolutely no pace at all and his first touch was probably the worst in the league.

Also playing with Costa counts for nothing. It was completely different Costa and Falcao, one where Costa was sidekick to Falcao and one where Falcao was the best 9 in the world. Costa used to play on wings and only once Falcao moved, Costa was played as CF. Not not sure how both can play together.

Good for Chelsea if he is back to his best but IMO he won't.

The Falcao i remember is not one who goes past players, its one who is in the box in tight spaces and finishes from all angles with either foot and head equally as good. I agree it was a different time and situation with Falcao and Costa played with each other but they must have had a chemistry and a connection which bodes well. I suspect he will be used as a sub most times when we are in need of a goal. At times last season when we were in need of a goal so many times we had no body inside the box as Costa liked to drift out wide at times, at least Falcao could be that presence inside the box.

He disappears in alot of match tho. I think 1 more season at Vitesse would make him alot better. Become top scorer in the Eredivisie and then take the next step.

Kristof Terreur @HLNinEngeland Voetbal International: Vitesse sources have confirmed that Bertrand Traore will get a chance at Chelsea. But will he get a work permit? #cfc

He's never gonna get his chance at Chelsea this soon. A Matic scenario is more likely to happen.

With Vitesse in the Champions League next season i think him staying would be good.

But Vitesse isn't in the champions league? PSV is and Ajax has to do qualifiers... Vitesse is gonna play in the Europa League.

Well i heard that wrong somewhere then! However playing in the Europa league will be a good standard for the lad.

He obviously meant Europa League.

No no, i just ****** up lol. Cheers for having my back haha

Been watching the U21s whats your guys thoughts on Chlalobah? Must admit after watching him a fair bit last season and in the Euros, been very dissapionted. Seems to have stalled development wise imo. Cant see him making it at Chelsea at this rate. Can see flashes, but has not developed as I thought he would a couple of years ago.

Not that keen on Chalobah but Loftus-Cheek looked different class to everyone else when he came on in the midfield. He has to start next game and seems a very promising player.

Chalobah was poor on and off the ball, RLC should replace him for the next game

Agree looks like could be same case at Chelsea also. RLC has defo developed more than Chal!

Definitelty looks the case, which is why he is going to be in the first team squad next season whereas Chalobah will be off on loan. Very disappointed in Chalobah's performance. He couldn't be bothered
