Seems like Cuadrado might be on his way as well. I really hope we push for Griezzmann in that case with the money from Cuadrado's sale. Stones, Griezzmann, Falcao and Begovic would be a decent-ish transfer window. Really hope RLC steps up if we are not getting a CM which imo we should. We are ****** if Fabregas/Matic gets injured

Mourinho can be right- we're not necessarily one of the ultra rich clubs splashing out enormous amounts on single transfers like PSG anymore- and hypocritical at the same time. They're not mutually exclusive you know.
Precisely. It's ok for Jose to be imperfect or even wrong. Not sure why there has to be huge argument anytime his name is mentioned

Indeed it is completely fine for him to be wrong. He is human after all. Buts it's incredibly dumb when someone makes a stupid post insulting a rival manager without reading the relevant article properly on a team thread and then not expect a response

Apparently the fee for Felipe Luis is £15.8m (We bought him for £15.8m) and he's set to have his medical with Atletico Madrid today.

Pretty waisted year out of his career then. Sans signing on fees and salary.

I wouldn't say it was a wasted year, he still won the PL and Capital One Cup with us. However I am slightly disappointed to see him go. Admittedly Felipe Luis was poor, but he was always very professional and just seemed like a very humble/ likeable player.

Last season we played just 1 mid-week game beyond mid-march due to being knocked out of the FA Cup and Champions League. Would like to see more depth. I'm not asking for a treble, but if we find ourselves in the semi's of either, or both, at the moment it could have a negative impact on our title push, and could ultimately leave us finishing with nothing.

As we are I wouldn't back us to cope well in that situation, as specially if either Cesc, Terry, Dave or Hazard get injured.

Stones would be a great signing even for £34m. Hope it wouldn't impact Zouma negatively, and would love to see RLC and Chalobah get games. As yet, our depth hasn't improved, and signings have been like-for-like.

Spot on mate. Chalobah is sadly nowhere near ready. Hoping RLC does well though, looks a real talent. Love the username btw :P

I meant to say 1 mid week game beyond mid march :P

Perhaps true about Chalobah, but he's a big lad, would cope with the physical side of the game. Would expect him to be loaned again, but get the feeling that if he's not ready now, he never will be for us, as he's 20. Hopefully loaned to a PL side if anything. Bit frustrating the amount of young players who aren't given a chance, and the amount who get promoted to the first team squad seemingly to simply comply with the homegrown criteria.

Chelsea FC ‏@ChelseaFC Jose says we need a left-back because it looks like we will be selling Filipe Luis in the very near future. #CFCTour

So that guy Baba or whatever his name is - is he good?

He's a bit weird really. He has some great attacking instincts but lacks the final ball to really be a sizeable threat bombing forward. Likewise he seems to be a good defender but his desire to get forward more means he relies a lot on his pace. In any case, he has plenty of talent and I think Jose can definitely polish him into something fantastic.

Quote from McEachran dirrected at (Chelsea) youngsters:

‘The advice I would give is you haven't done anything until you're at JT's level, with all the trophies, caps for England. So if you are a 17 year-old lad going on pre-season you haven't really done anything. You just need to strive to do what the others are doing.’

I think the idea is that it's meant to be reformative as well as punitive. If it was a very long ban or a permanent one, there'd be little chance for ti change their actions or mindset.

How does a racist change his mindset and beliefs? Sorry, cannot agree.

The same way a ex-criminal is let free into society after serving his time because the perception is that they have changed their ways after being punished and deserve a second chance at life
