Lol, as usual you're completely delusional about United's spending, which is hilarious considering the amount of times the old git has raised various domestic transfer records.

Its almost as if by ~2004 United already had world class core squad with Rooney, Rio, Neville, Giggs, Scholes, Ronaldo, RvN and VdS, and didn't actually require much spending to compete.

Same with Arsenal, they had the Invincibles.

Chelsea blew up over 200 million over the first 2 years (twice as much as the whole ******* club was worth when Roman took over) and achieved similar stability - they no longer had to spend big every season and could just move their assets around.

Meanwhile Liverpool had absolute garbage squad that somehow managed to win Champions League on a 1 in a million shot. The only people who you could considered world class were Gerrard and Alonso. Carragher was a very good defender, but he's no John Terry. Hyppia andd Hamman were solid , but already in their 30s and needed to be transitioned out soon. The rest of the team was absolute wank.

And as usual you are posting nonsense and without even knowing what you post. Rooney was not signed when Rafa became Liverpool manager. He was signed after Rafa became Liverpool manager. So transfer spend is added.

Yeah world class squad that won **** all for 4 years. ManUtd was on decline and since you don't even follow any club properly you don't know what all was said at that time. Rio was not world class, Rooney was not with ManUtd, Neville, Giggs, Scholes all were 30 or plus. Funny you used that excuse for Carragher. VDS was signed in 2005-06 Jan transfer window and RVN left in 2005-06 season. You have absolutely no idea how bad ManUtd squad was after 2003. It was only in 2005-2006 when players like Evra, Vidic, VDS, Carrick were signed they became stable team and along with Ronaldo and Rooney improving.

Same with Arsenal. They had already started transition and lost many of their players.

I dont think you can fire some one just because they were doing their job. A players seemed injured the physio's have to check it out. What the **** was she supposed to do?.

Unbelievable.

The only explanation I can think of, is Jose confronted her after the game and she stood her ground. Which again Jose should know better. No self-respecting doctor would back down from a fight on whether he gets to make final decision over his patients.

The whole thing is honestly the most bizzare football drama I've seen in years. Well there was Pep versus that Bayern doctor, but that dude was injecting people with horse placentas and was often considered a fraud amongst medical community, so that at least made some sense. This? This is just weird.

And you just know all the female media are going to milk this story for days, since it ruins their beloved narrative of a woman so good at her job that she broke into male dominated field.

I'll believe it when I see it, there's a lot of speculation in that article.

Yes, we all know it was wrong of Jose to publicly criticise the medical team. But at the end of the day Mourinho's the boss and if he's not happy with certain members of staff then it's well within his rights to change things. This whole situation is being blown out of proportion IMO.

Also according to that article she hasn't been fired. Eva's still our first-team physio, she'll just no longer be able to attend matches. If true, it might seem harsh but as I've said this whole situation is being blown out of proportion.

I dont think even jose's in charge of hiring and firing physio/doctor's. His job is too coach and manage the team.

He's been a complete idiot. Hazard signalled to the medics...

He's not within his rights to change the doctor for knowing more than him. Hazard was requesting treatment so would never have been part of any counter attack defence. And having her demoted makes him look even worse.

Banished from games? Jesus. That's even worse then firing her. If she was fired at least they could sell it as having differencies, shaking hands and going on their merry way. There would be a drama for 24 hours and the media would go back to writing about royal baby.

But keeping the head of entire medical team contained to training pitch for...doing her job? This story is not going away for weeks, people.

Wow, I actually genuinely feel bad for you lot. For the first time in a decade it seemed like Chelsea has managed to secure rock solid stability for the foreseeable future, and then this happens.

I don't think it's being blown out of proportion at all. How can he banish a team doctor for doing her job? It's completely unjustified. The media will have a field day with this news particularly as Eva is one of the more recognizable faces in the game. Also why the **** is he isolating the best medical team in the league?? He has gone absolutely mental this summer for some reason. Having a go at Benitez and now this ...

That's ****** up. Seriously.

If this was meant to be a deflection it's gone really badly wrong.

As alcaraz says, she leads the best medical team in the league. You have a small squad. Let's hope she doesn't up and leave.

This x10000

It frustrates me to no end. We just won the league. I was full of optimism that we would get in 3-4 players and make a run for the CL next season. Then the stadium plans were announced which looked fantastic. Future genuinely looked rosy but how things can change in a few short weeks

It couldn't have possibly been the ever present mind games. The footage is pretty obvious, he was emotional about the score and simply lost his **** for few seconds. Not something to be proud about, but we've all been there, done that. He should just man up and apologize. I guess its just his ego getting in the way of doing the right thing.

Suffice to say that if these reports are true, I have lost a lot of respect for Mourinho. I find his general media antics entertaining to say the least and I don't mind if he responds with barbs to a provocation but right now he is just taking it towards unnecessary obnoxiousness

Exactly. His reaction during the game is understandable in a high pressure situation. He could have just quietly let it wash over and focus on the next game. Instead he seems to have done the exact opposite. It's baffling to say the least
