Ok, who've i missed?

Guess he's a tricky one to place but what about Desailly for Milan?
164 games for Nantes, 164 games for Milan, 156 games for Chelsea... Tough choice?
By the way you were going in this thread I'm guessing you'll put him at Nantes because he's younger there, but just a thought.

Possible Parma team to whittle from:

MID: Mark Bresciano, Stefanno Morrone, Dino Baggio, Marco Osio, Hidetoshi Nakata, Ariel Ortega, Massimo Crippa, Gabriel Pin, Julius Korostelev
FOR: William Bronzoni, Hernan Crespo, Faustinio Asprilla, Gianfranco Zola, Alberto Gillardinho, Adriano, Alexandro Melli

Ortega would be River Plate?
OOh what about the two swedish guys from the late 90's Thomas Brolin? i think and Martin Dahlin, and wouldn't Zola be at Napoli ?? Buffon would surely be Juventus legend by now?

God thats some defence though..

Yeah guess your right about Ortega. Wanst at parma for very long.
Brolin never really was that great. Only saving grace was he was part of the UEFA cup winning teams and second in Serie A.
Yeah but Buffon was so good for Parma also. Juve did pay £35M for him after all.

Brolin is just the player i remember for Parma, watching Italian Football on C4 when i was a kid for some reason. ^_^

Ok, who've i missed?

Paul Power, Glyn Pardoe, Dave Watson, Sam Cowan, Dave Ewing, Roy Clarke, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Ernie Toseland, Ali Benarbia, Peter Doherty and a few others. Joe Mercer is in the Arsenal squad so can't be a manager.

Paul Power i'd have and SWP, Dave Watson i presume would be Everton.

the rest i've never heard of.. would have to look them up to be sure who's who... ^_^

I've just been going through the Parma squad, and have struggled to find much info on their two highest appearance makers, Ivo Cocconi and Ermes Polli. They were both defenders, but I'm not sure exactly which defensive position both played. Has anyone got any ideas or can anyone find out?

I'm not sure mate but I'm taking a stab at it

Ivo Cocconi would be a Right Back
Ermes Polli would be a Left/Centre Back

could be wrong :(

On what did you base that on mate? I thought Cocconi might have been a centre back given the era that he played but it's all guess work, there's not a lot of info!

It's just a guess as much as yours mate, we could do with an italian speaker to search for info, they might be a bit more successful!

that's also true :), but you could always go with your gut feeling :), I'm sure no-one will flip out if you get it wrong ^^)

Would you be doing a Inter list? I can think of a few players and a manager:

Manager: Helenio Herrera

Defenders: Armando Picchi, Fachetti, Burgnich, Zanetti

Mids: L. Suarez, Mazzola,

Strikers: Guissepe Meazza, Ronaldo
