Poached this kid out of Pescara's delightful youth system, he is one of several regens I signed over the summer. I've got a trip to Bilbao coming up so I rested Gotze, played Kagawa down the left and eventually brought this kid on for Nani (after swapping Shinji to the right). He weren't on for long but he scored with his only shot, breaking a couple of records in the process. Only problem is, I rarely play with wide midfielders and his potential as an LAM isn't too impressive.

he has got very good potential but he has got a long way to go untill he should be even chalenging to get into a man u team, however with good tutoring, training and a bit of luck he should turn out good.

train his as a LAM now and in 2 years time he should be a natural and have the same potential in LAM as he currently has at LM.
good luck

These players are some of the best players in the world, that i am sure of, my favorite is probably Jasper Volkers, the belgian Ronaldo that i got from Genk for 900k :) Or Emiliano Munoz wich has also allways been rock-solid in the back :)

they have not got many caps for their countries considering how good they are. i have a 19 yr old, very different player but about as good as your belgian and he has 17 odd caps. your 22 yr old belgian has only 13. i would have thought he would have 25+ caps by 22, especialy considering it is only belgium.

did he get very good very quick, why so little caps?

oh and his stats are very much like ronaldo's other than ronaldo's heading is better.

Oh **** sorry about posting here! i meant to do it in the fm12 section, i just noticed now... should i remove it?

Erm a factor that is still heart crushing and could be a factor towards the few caps Volkers got is early in his career he got a 9 month long injury, not sure if they wanted to play him cause of that, and no he was stunning even at the age of 16!

what is the best way of finding the regens as i always on the look out but dont know what i am lookin for most the players i sign dont turn out good

Pick the best scouts, and try and pick up youngsters with high ambition, determination and work rate. In my opinion, the most important part about developing young regens is giving them game time. Tutoring them is even better, especially if it is successful. With my youngsters, I give them a few runs in the first team at age 16, give them around 10-15 appearances at 17 and as much as other senior players beyond that. Speaking from personal experience, that has paid off. You cannot afford to just rely on them having game time in the reserves or u-19s although when they're 15-16, that's where they'll play the majority of their games. But first team action is vital.

mental state helps, more driven & determined players also professionals and ambitious players tend to work harder in training, if you have a quality youth & he hasnt got the right mental state use a tutor who has the right mental state and in a couple of season if the bond is good the players mind set may have changed and he should be well on his way to fulfilling his potential

My current crop of youngsters, including updates on Agbonlahor and Walker, featured earlier in the thread. Agbonlahor is a monster, Walker has progressed well but he's been hampered by two 3-4 month injuries. Basically my entire first team is aged 17-24. I could have posted a few more but I think these are the most interesting ones.
