See this is what 95% of young regens I look at are like! Good at certain things, need training in the rest.
Then you come on here and people have blatantly took regens they found on the RTE and then when they arrive at the club, max their CA to meet their PA or something. Seriously how is it possible for 3 or more 18 year old regens to appear in one year that play to Messi and Ronaldo's stats. It doesn't happen, sure wonder-kids are produced all the time but not with a starting 150+ current ability plus the ability to perform brilliantly at a young age. I remember FM11 I was Derby on a network game and I found this guy called Eyjolfsson a regen, he was quality for championship level but always had comments on his poor performances about his youth and inexperience. Obviously he played well sometimes but averaging 8.00's through a season at a young age at a high level is usually BS. There are players you can find with this ability but generally they need to adapt to the country/quality/tactics etc. Makes me sick when people show off regens that are 'cheats', I want to see real work and dedication in finding the next Alan Shearer, training him hard and giving him game time to hopefully meet his potential.

Only 3 stars?! Are your scouts high? Haha only joking, he looks like he could be quite the player, not sure what I'd do with him though, you could focus training him to be a monster of a DM but his Bravery is only 4 :/
Something called Genie Scout exists too mate. Doesn't necessarily mean someone is cheating when they post a beast regen, unless you consider using GS to scout as cheating.

So because some people are able to go through and do hard work themselves, maybe they sign about 40 youth players each season (but they only show their best 1 obviously) with a maxed out database with every league running (so they'll be more regens) and then the manager is able to risk playing them from the age of 15 every game, training them right, tutoring them, signing the right coaches, blending the player to your teams style, so that after 4 seasons he's 18 and got 3 1/2 seasons worth of experience, you compare these players to the ones you've been able to squander up and dont spend all the time you could have with them, you start saying their blatantly cheating. How about the people who have shown their players every season to show their progress? They cheats too? You should try to find a good player yourself and spend time with them, don't look for 18 year olds look for 14/15 year olds, wait for the respective nations regen day, go to their country, then go through each teams under 18's squad, if you go to their team on the day they get their regens their new players will still be on trial contracts, go through all of these players, when you find one that looks interesting (i look at their base value as they seem to be the ones with the most potential) send a scout in for a quick report, he'll come back the next day and tell you his rating, if he's good sign them on a free contract and only pay the compensation. do this for all the teams in top 2 divisions and any teams in lower divisions that have decent youth recruitment. (dont worry about facilities as they aren't going to be training them) then when you've got 20+ youths coming in, put them on very intense training sessions to fit the style of your play, do not change your team to match a player. train them for a season, see how they've developed, if their increasing well and meeting your squads style then keep them loan them out or play them, otherwise sell them with a next sale % as well, you'll make your money back and this will allow you to sign another 20+ youths again, rinse and repeat. with your players you've kept allow highly ambitious/professional or determined players to tutor them so they adapt their mindset and try better in training. some won't make it but some will. it takes time but i'm 9 seasons in to my very first game which i started in the beta & **** it's worth it.

you are an absolute moron number 1 i scouted 2 of the regens from real madrid castillas because they had beast like stats and i always scout through castillas thoroughly as they produce alot of regens who u can buy at the right price usually having a minimum release fee and i thought at the age of 15/16 i can slowly introduce them into the 1st team with training and tutoring for 1-2 years while playing in the youth ranks and i never have cheated in my life on football manager the amc does have beast like stats and for him he was recommended to me by my scouts who i immediately signed why just cause i use my scouts and my brain search by attributes and player value and star ratings im a cheat? ur ridiculous the 2 english born youth players WERE 1 STAR RATED FROM MY YOUTH RANKS U CRANK who i signed when i saw the stats and became 4.5/5 stars after signing i swear people like u **** me off giving it all that when u dont know what ur talking about oh yeah 1 more i forgot bout the young german i signed him from bayern and he was labelled the next schweinstiger so i took a punt trained him right gave him a few matches in the 1st team but mostly kept him in youth ranks end of what i gotta say

Actually I spend an hour or two self scouting and usually find pretty good players, your point is completely invalid 'look for 14/15yr olds blah blah blah' as I was mainly referring to South American regens you cannot sign these in many leagues until they turn 18. When you see someone who has an 18 year old from South America who has 18+ stats in 10 areas you definitely have to question it. Also I agree that you can sign 20 kids on 500k each comp and would make decent money doing so, unless you are a big club though I would ask how you manage to do so well in competitions to get enough money to do this and help them reach potential unless you play them as kids every game.
As for you claiming I am calling everyone cheats here, including people who post progress I clearly meant (if you read it thoroughly) that when you see someone post an 18 year old regen who has just arrived at the club with insane Messi stats already that it is dubious.
I am not calling any names out, I have not singled any regens. I have seen 'cheat' regens in every Regen forum through the FMs, a few have even admitted it so it can't be denied. One was posted by a friend of mine which I thought was hilarious because it was so obvious yet no-one mentioned anything about it (a ST with 20 Finishing 19 Composure, 18 Acc, 20 Pace plus other stupid stats) he basically gave a 19 year old 200 CA.
I appreciate people who use hard work, determination and only the resources available in the game to find and develop regens. I do feel that there are people who don't work for e results and it ruins the thread which I like to check up on and watch players develop. (Regens are my favourite part of this game - that and legends becoming coaches and managers)

Edit: as to how do you do so well in competitions? took me 8 seasons to win anything and that was the Europa league, i'm in my 9th season now having started. Sadri Sener a turkish consortium took over the club. I have several players out on fee paying loans. Transfer wise:

Right and so you do not fall into the category of players I was talking about who sign young regens and play them and win things. Also that is my point, if you look through this thread there are many many South American regens (who normally people wouldn't sign due to permits etc.) who have stupidly high stats everywhere when (unless they have been trained somewhere else) they probably shouldn't have developed yet.
There's no need to argue about it though pal, I was just saying what was on my mind (and looking at the two comments straight after mine not only my mind)

Let people post their regens. If they're edited, they're edited. Nothing you can do about it. Clearly if people want to do that, it's their game and they're entitled to do what they want with it. If you're so offended that it's ruining your thread-browsing experience, then I suggest you step off your moral high-horse and do your best to ignore those offensive posts. Post your regens. Don't complain about Genie Scout or whatever else is used. If you don't like it, don't use it. This way, everyone ends up posting only regens, which after all, is what this thread is all about. End of story.

You use 'moral high-horse' as if it's an insult. I apologize for enjoying the game as it was designed to be played. I know life isn't fair but it would be nice to see some fairness when concerning something as small as a video game and crediting yourself via them. It's the finer things in life you have to try and enjoy.

If you're cheating and posting edited players, chances are you will continue to do that regardless of what anyone says. Besides, people then tend to accuse people of cheating even when they haven't.
