Sell him, and get an older, declining player on the cheap who can provide good backup and be a really good tutor to one of the wonderkids! (So you need some that has high reputation, possibly has good PPMs and has high mental attributes (especially Determination)! :)

Player: Falcao
Team you are managing: Arsenal
Team who are buying/selling: Atletico Madrid
Offer: £19m + Podolski
Year: 13/14 Pre-season/
Other Info: Podolski had a tally of 11 in 32 and 5 assists the previous season, whereas Giroud had 18 in 37 and 9 assists. I'm going to be using Joel Campbell as my 3rd choice striker.

Joel Campbell isn't good enough mate, but either way I'd say deal (Although that is still quite exspensive) On my Arsenal save I got Falcao for £10m and Giroud who scored about 4 goals in 30 odd appearances first season.

Where is Cavani? If you can, I'd get him instead of Falcao, on FM he is twice the player! :D

Player: Theo Walcott
Team you are managing:
Spurs
Team who are buying/selling:
Arsenal ona free transfer
Offer:
0
Year:
from season 2016/17
Other Info:
his contract is going to expire at the end of the current season (I'm currently in November, year 2015) and he's not willing to renew it. However, if I would sign him he would only play as a backup for Christian Eriksen (RW) and Edinson Cavani (ST, advanced forward), considering that I have also Raheem Sterling on loan, and he's doing very well.
He currently earns 5 millions quid per year (sorry, I can't neither stand nor understand the weekly wages).

Thank you in advance.

Is Prinz Poldi an important element of your team? If not, considering also his high wage, I would say deal. But is anyway a bit expensive, and it's not 100% sure that the German will accept going to Atletico.

P.S. I recommend Cavani aswell.

What database are you using? On the old one, he wasn't very good, but he is better on the latest one :)

I am not fully sure what £5m translates as, but I presume dividing it by 52 (So just under £100k a week) would work fine. That is way too much for a backup player, so no deal unless you can get those wages a lot lower!!!

96k/week for a backup player is DEFINITELY not a good buy. If you can manage to get him down to about 60k/week then I'd take it.

Everything updated mate.

I agree with both of you. No deal then, so now it will be interesting to discover his next destination.

Now there is a 28-years old Arturo Vidal in the same situation of Theo, so with the contract expiring in 6 months. But in that case I would use him as a first choice (instead of Dembélé I think); his stats and attributes are massive...moreover I always buy him in every FM game since 2005 I think (when he still was a centre back), and haven't so far. :)

I think I'd probably move in for Walcott, but depending on a few things. Most importantly what his stats are at this point, see if he's kept hold of his pace and improved things like his composure and decision making. There's obviously a judgement call on how good a player he is, and how much he would benefit the squad.

I know he's only on a free transfer, but I would advise against thinking of the buy as 'no risk'. £5 million per year is the equivalent of £100K per week, which is big money. And he'll probably demand a similar wage. So another factor is, how well have you maintained the wage structure up until now, and how much of your wage budget have you got left?

If, looking at his attributes, you think he can make a pretty big impact on the team, then definitely go for it. Deal. But don't sign him simply for the reason that he's available on a free transfer, because the chances are his wages would still hit you in the pocket.

Well if you're playing him as a ball winning midfielder, Vidal is one of the best in that role. Though that comes down to your tactics. I think at 28 he'll only have 2 or 3 seasons ahead of him, and won't be a viable long term solution. So I think this one might be up to you.

For me this is a complete no-brainer. Vidal is a top class player, and 28 is about the peak age for a ball-winning midfielder. He should provide the team with a lot of tenacity, (as he did for my Juve team in the past) but also some experience over the next 3 years or so. I would probably be prepared to part with about £7 million for him, so to get him on a free is a massive bonus! Unquestionably deal in my view!

Thank you for your kind and accurate answers, lads :)

Money isn't really an issue for me luckily...probably mainly thanks to several important sells that I've made (Holtby, Adebayor, Sandro, Sigurdsson) and my managing of merchandising (got Guangzhou as affilated club, and after buying a well-known and promising Chinese regen I'm selling tons of shirts there hehe).
Anyway, I still have +£50 millions of difference in my wage budget, and good money is going to come if I manage to sell Danny Welbeck (Barça is interested, and I don't really need him).

Here are some of Theo's current stats: Finishing 16, Composure 13, Pace 19, Acceleration 18, Decisions 10, Off the Ball 13, First touch 14, Technique 13, Crossing 12, Determination 15.
Have you ever managed him in FM13? Because I haven't yet. I've got great memories of him in my FM11 and FM12 saves.

Now I really don't know what to do hehe (Vidal is 100% yes, I already have Fellaini...good luck to all my opponents' CMs lol)...there is also Kagawa with his contract expiring who would join, but he likes staying at United side and maybe will renew...I would prefer the Japanese to Theo, especially for marketing reasons (one of my affiliated clubs is Kashima Antlers).

I'm currently playng most of the games with a 4-3-2-1 with two wingers and no AMCs, but in case of the arrival of Walcott or Kagawa I would try a 4-2-3-1 like:

-----------Fellaini---Vidal
Eriksen-------Kagawa--------Bale
(Walcott)-----(Eriksen)
---------------Cavani

Those are decent stats actually. I reckon because he's improved much more on finishing than crossing, if you've got a very creative midfield, maybe use him occassionally as a poacher. Especially as an impact sub. His pace in the last 20 minutes of matches would frighten the life out of defences! Seeing as it wouldn't damage your finances, I would deal!

What's your budget? Whenever I've been Roma in the past, he hasn't been that great. Although that's just my experience, it was FM12, and £9.25 million is a decent price. But I don't think his talent is worth changing your whole system for.

I guess it also depends how well you've done up until this point. If you're only scraping a Champions League place at the moment and your system looks like it needs revamping, then you could deal. Or even see if there's a better quality attacking mid out there. In June there's probably enough time for players to adapt to a new tactic.

But if you're competing for the Serie A title each season, then I wouldn't bother to be honest. Either way I don't think Pjanic is that good, so if you were keen to introduce an attacking mid, I would look for a better quality one, even if it means paying a bit more.

I think 17 pounds is a remarkable bargain. ;)
But to be honest, that seems to be a pretty steep price to pay for a left-back. not sure how much money you have or how strong your team is, but if there's other areas you need to strengthen considerably, then no deal.

No deal. I know everyone raves about Shaw, but I think £17 million is way too much for a full back. I reckon you could get someone equally effective for half that.
