AUSTRALIA AND ENGLAND DRAW FOR FIRST TIME
The first match of the 2nd Test of the Ashes has ended in a draw, with Australia scoring 2 late goals to equalise despite a thrilling Ronaldo brace in the first 10 minutes. Vincent Kompany's red card in the 20th minute jeopardised his team's chances immensely but they held on against the odds to record a draw.

A Steam crowd of 5 watched as my plans were thrown out the window early on as Cristiano Ronaldo tore the defence to shreds. Goals in the 2nd and 8th minute put us in a dangerous situation as Cesar Azpilicueta looked unable to deal with England's star.
However, the match turned on it's head in the 20th minute when Vincent Kompany was sent off in the 20th minute for a late challenge on Lionel Messi. Was it deserved? The Aussie in me is screaming YES YES THE POMMY ******* DESERVED TO GET SENT OFF but the football fan in me says, no, it probably wasn't. Nonetheless, it had a big impact on the game as Lewie opted to play just one at the back up until half time.
Somehow, we were not able to get a goal by half time as David De Gea morphed into a brick wall and Lionel Messi morphed into Fernando Torres. Zlatan limping off injured didn't help me at all and much to Lewie's credit, England remained 2-0 up at half time.
By the 65th minute, I was screaming at the computer screen with rage. Yes, Lewie had outpointed me tactically - no doubt about that. But Lionel Messi and Neymar and David Silva couldn't hit a barn door and England somehow remained 2-0 up. They weren't finishing their chances off either - and it was time for all or nothing.
We threw caution to the wind as I moved into an ultra attacking 4-2-2-2, set on Overload, and decided if I wasn't going to score I may as well get beaten really badly trying. Lewie, meanwhile, put England on Contain, and it was going to be a battle of the minds between our players as to who could hold on. Ironically, my breakthrough finally came through a centre back after my forwards doing so badly all night. Mats Hummels scored from a corner in the 77th minute and the Aussies in the stands erupted with joy. The comeback was finally f**king on.
In what was a nervous final 10 minutes, we traded many chances as we both pushed for that crucial goal. Neymar, Hazard, Aguero all came close to scoring but in the end, one of the smallest players on the field scored the equaliser from a corner - Lionel Messi. The Argentinian wizard got the equaliser after 86 minutes of pain, of torture and I breathed a sigh of relief. And subsequently nearly had a heart attack when Aguero almost scored in the 92nd minute for England. Phew.
