i did originally start him off as a poacher, but have changed him to a complete forward, which has turned him around.

NOVEMBER ROUNDUP

Schalke were hoping to continue their scorching hot form this month, after a tremendous October. First up, a memorable win against a Messi-deprived Barcelona, before a dismembering of Hoffenheim away. Next up, the inconsistency crept back in with 2 defeats and a win.

Rakitic was instumental in historic victory

One of the biggest shocks of the Champions League so far saw Barcelona beaten 3-0 by a superb Schalke side. Without Messi and Pique, Barca looked less threatening. Metzelder was quite possibly the best player on the pitch, marking David Villa out of the game for vast periods. Huntelaar opened the scoring from the penalty spot after 23 mins after a foul by Daniel Alves. Daniel Aquino pounced on a stray clearance to double Schalke's lead. Barcelona soon re-grouped, having the majority of the possession after the second goal. Any hopes of a comeback were put to bed, after Rakitic placed Schalke's second penalty away, after a handball from Puyol.

HOFFENHEIM 0-5 SCHALKE - Metzelder(10), Raul(14), Huntelaar(16, 71 Pen), Aquino(23)

Huntelaar - unstoppable form

Huntelaar was again the superstar, as Schalke recorded another huge victory. Metzelder's close range header put the visitors ahead, before Raul cleverly finished a counter attack to make it 2. Huntelaar then hit an outstanding volley from 20 yards after just 16 minutes. Aquino then put the visitors well out of sight with a tremendous end to another brilliant counter attack. Huntelaar rounded the game off with a penalty in the 71st minute.

SCHALKE 0-1 BORUSSIA DORTMUND

Nuri Sahin scored the winner

After a superb run of results, Schalke stuttered with a disappointing loss at home to Dortmund. Despite having much of the play, and plenty of chances, Schalke couldn't find the net. Nuri Sahin's composed finish sealed the game in the first half, and Schalke struggled to fight back.

Farfan showed fantastic awareness

Schalke ensured that they will be in the last 16 draw with an outstanding win over Ajax. Huntelaar put his former club to the sword twice, before Jefferson Farfan scored a fantastic solo goal, taking on three defenders before putting the ball past Stekelenberg.

FRANKFURT 3-2 SCHALKE - Huntelaar(27), Baumjohann(52)

Meier stole the win for Frankfurt at the death

After an impressive victory in Europe, the Schalke players seem to rest on their laurels, and ended up taking nothing from the game even when a point looked likely. Huntelaar and Baumjohann put Schalke 2-0 up, before Frankfurt's comeback commenced. In-form Amanatidis struck first, before Bajramovic levelled. Maier then broke the offside trap to make it 3-2.

Player of the Month

Another outstanding month for one player in particular, with an incredible 6 goals this month. Of course, that is the Flying Dutchman, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

Yeah, 2 penalties though. Played 5-3-2 with 2 defensive wing-backs.
