Owen Evans the 24 year old goalkeeper has signed a new 3 year contract with Wigan. He was largely a backup last season. But maybe in the next season depending on whether I stay at Wigan, he could be the first choice keeper if he gets into good form.
Cesena have offered me a job interview. The Cruz Azul job application was unsuccessful. Well there goes my chance of taking over one of the biggest clubs in Mexico.
Cesena have approached me. They have a decent transfer budget. They can compete at the top end of their division. But I have interviews to attend with Spartak Moscow and Frosinone. I have decided to delay the Cesena job offer for now.
I have been rejected by Bolton because it will be a controversial move for the chairperson to bring me in. Meanwhile I have interviews with Sunderland, Brentford and Al Jazira (UAE).
SO TEMPTING. The Spartak Moscow job is probably the job I will consider. They finished top of the Russian Premier League last season. They are competing in the Champions League. And they have a transfer budget of 18 million pounds which is good enough to compete atleast in the Russian Premier League. But I will delay and wait and see if I get an interview from some of the other clubs I have applied for a job at.
Look at that budget. Brentford have approached me too. 6.25 million pounds. We can challenge for promotion from the Championship. Will delay this one too.
I rejected the Cesena job. The other offers on the table are frankly better. Barring a miracle where we raise some finances from sales of players at Wigan, I will mostly move to a different club. But there could be a twist.
Salimo Sylla, the 27 year old Guinean left back has left the club to join Oxford United for 93k pounds. Good player for us, but we need the funds. That could bring about a twist in my decision to stay or leave Wigan. We will have to wait and see.
