A fine victory. We just edged the first half and at half time Balenziaga had a rating of 5.4 so I gave him a bollocking and he scored 1 minute after the restart!!

Betis are bottom of the table and have lost every game this season. Muniain and Rico picked up knocks and will be out for a few weeks.

What a match!!! We went into the game in 2nd place both a point and a position ahead of Granada. They had an early goal disallowed before taking the lead and we dominated from then on.
In the 2nd half Nyom got sent-off for them and then Ibai Gomez had a goal chalked off for us but our 2 goals in the final minutes secured the 3pts!

SUMMARY
A fantastic month in which we won all our games. The 2 away wins were fantastic against 2 decent sides too! Toquero was the surprise hero of the month while Herrera and Laporte were great also.
We have finally moved into our new stadium and so therefor our next match against Valencia will be the opening game for the San Mames Barria.

SUMMARY
A very good month. We nearly got maximum points again and we are sitting pretty in 2nd place - 14pts clear of Barcelona (who have 2 games in hand)!!!!!
We have had a great start though and even this early on I can safely predict that we will get European football next season. In the Copa del Rey we have been drawn against Granada.
Off the field Andoni Iraola took a pay cut to sign a new contract while Iker Muniain signed a new long term deal and got a wage hike - he has been linked with PSG.

Cheers - there are 5 peeps who have legacies in FM on this site that come to mind. Me with Bilbao, you with San Marino, Stonecold with Aberdeen, Sam with Chelsea/Southampton and W4nker with everyone! lol
At the moment I am missing a top class striker to convert the chances. Some of my instructions are Bilbao specific for instance having my wingers swap works as all my wide players can play on either wing.

SUMMARY
A dream month which has us finish it top of the league. The win over struggling Barcelona was great but the win over Atletico Madrid away from home was far more impressive.
The board gave me extra transfer funds (now ?4.4m) and I have agreed to sign a nice looking 16y/o to come in in January. He doesnt have a profile pic though so that isnt good lol

SUMMARY
A reasonably successful month I suppose. We scored a load of goals but conceded a fair few also. We are sitting pretty at the top of the table but surely we cant go on and win the title? We are 8pts clear of 3rd place so we should have Champions League football for next season. We are currently 19pts clear of Barca too.
Off the field we have been drawn against Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey while personally I signed a new contract with Bilbao but I think I just rushed through it as I didnt expect to get offered one so early!!!!
With the transfer window due to re-open I am constantly having to answer questions about my players being wanted elsewhere. Muniain, Iturraspe and Susaeta have been linked with moves.

SUMMARY
A tough month as we played a load of games and only won 2 of them. We were eliminated from the Copa del Rey but are still in touch at the top with Real Madrid so we are still in a strong position. To be fair we had some really tough fixtures as we had 2 derbies away from home and we also had Real Madrid home and away.
Transfer wise I agreed a fee for Jorge Espericueta but he wasnt interested in a move. The only player I had already arranged to buy was a 16y/o from Cordoba for just under half a million.

Then on transfer deadline day I paid Atletico Madrid ?2.4m for Raul Garcia. I am not short of central midfielders but I have a small squad and he will do a good job for a season or two methinks.

Leaving the club was Aritz Aduriz as he left to join Sevilla for ?450,000. I rejected bids for Iturraspe, Iraola and Muniain as well as Herrera. Unfortunately Herrera then came to me demanding a transfer so he is transfer listed although he isnt for sale lol.

A fantastic win that moves us 1pt behind Real at the top of the league. We were helped in the 2nd half when Pepe and Marcelo got sent-off.

We were poor here and got outplayed but the penalty that Muniain converted was enough for the points. 2 clean sheets in a row!! Even better - Real Madrid lost so we are 2pts clear.

A decent win against a struggling Espanyol who went ahead twice. We made it 2-2 and then they had Torje sent-off and it was just a matter of time before we got the winner really. Bad news though came when Susaeta went off injured and his season is pretty much over.
Espanyol sacked Aguirre straight after the game.

SUMMARY
Another brilliant month as we won every game and we end the month 2pts clear at the top of the league. Obviously the 3-0 win over Real Madrid was the key result in the month and that has given us an enormous confidence boost but can we maintain our form?
Next month will see my first ever intake of youth players in FM14 - looking forward to it!!!
