awesome story KLIPPY im doing a bilbao save also just started my second season after finishing 4th, I didnt get as good a youth intake as you did but i did sign back Isma for cover as i felt bilbao are a bit light in the AMC/AML/AMR postions as i had munian and susaeta both injured last season together and hes doing well 3 games into this season.

did you look into signing him or did you feel you had enough players up their? also that 16 year old you signed in the 1st season was it sebas? if it was how has he done for you because for me he has done really well as a forward raiding CM attack when i gave him the odd game, if he comes on well he could be world class as his stats are awesome at 16/17 I have sent him to the second team this season so he gets games at a higher level with a view to using him in the squad in place of rico next season

Bilbao have plenty of wingers I think but short in AMC.

As for Sebas - I aint played him much but he has developed big style as I got some great coaches and gt him tutored.

SUMMARY

Pretty much a perfect month this as we just about won every game and even the game that we lost we progressed anyway. We are still only 3pts behind Real Madrid so we are in with a shout of the title but we shall see. In the Champions League we have been given a favourable draw against Atletico Madrid.

The youth intake was pretty decent and there were 3 stand out players methinks.

Thinking of doing a Bilbao save myself, but running it as a Youth Talent challenge. Been reading your entries with interest, and should be even harder with Bilbao transfer policy.

I am not happy with this as Real Madrid lost the day before and Sevilla were down to 10 men for the last half hour. A missed opportunity thats for sure.

SUMMARY

A decent month which ends with us 1pt clear at the top of the league and also in with a shout of reaching the Champions League final - its between us and Real Madrid all the way!!!!!

Injuries, suspensions and general fitness are taking their toll at the moment which is a worry at this exact point of the season however I am always happy to give my young starlets a runout.

Next month should be a belter!

What role are you playing Muniain in? He is struggling up front as a poacher for me, luckily Gomez and Susaeta are scoring for fun, but Muniain is often finishing games with ratings in the low 6s, do you have any advice?

I just play him as a poacher. My wingers swap sides - dunno if that helps

SUMMARY

The final month of the season proved to be hugely successful as we won the domestic double, pipping Real Madrid for both trophies. Unfortunately they got the better of us in the Champions League.

A season review post will follow where I will go into the season in more detail.

Finally Andoni Iraola has agreed to take up a player/coach role with the club.

I havent really got into it and winning the title in my first season perversely has made it less of a save in my eyes.
