Man what is ****** wrong with the Liverpool board! I'm ending my third season, managed to raise more than £300M combined in the 2nd and 3rd season from player sales, won everything in the 3rd season, and all I get is a measly £25M budget! Yeah, I can raise the funds by selling more players, except the board reduced the percentages of transfer revenue to only 35%!!!

There goes my hopes of signing Neymar..there's no way I can raise more than £80M when I can only retained 35% of the money from player sales.

How can you release Rossiter on a free transfer? That kid is class! Well not yet for my team, but I'm looking at him as a future captain for Liverpool. He has been good for me in FM14 although it took like 3 seasons iirc and definitely looking promising in FM15 as well if given enough game time.

Managed to sell Lucas when he was 29 (Start of 2016/17) for 29.5m to PSG. :)

Because I simply don't need him. His potential is not that great either, plus he's injury prone.

Rossiter is reasonable with the right tutoring, but his consistency is a major issue for me. That, and I have a very, very good Argentine regen that is much better than him. Now all I need to do is get a reasonable sum for him.

Btw, how have people been using Sturridge, Balotelli and Origi? They are/were all fantastic for me but I don't like many two-striker formations so rotating them is annoying.

Selling Markovic for £8m?? Did you not use him, or did he just not develop?
He's been spectacular for me:

As for the strikers, I sold Origi (yeah I know, I shouldn't have) so I can't comment on him. I used both Sturridge and Balotelli as Complete Forward (Attack) with an Advanced Playmaker (Support) behind them. Especially Balotelli has great attributes for playing as CF, the only thing letting him down is Teamwork and Work Rate. Sturridge might be better suited as Advanced Forward, but he did pretty good as CF for me.

I just didn't need him. Kroos was sort of a 'yolo' signing (I really don't know any other way to put it) which forced me to change my formation to fit Kroos, Alcantara, Romero, Coutinho, Henderson. I ended up with a diamond which would see rotation between Coutinho, Sterling, Odegaard, Markovic and Suso (full fee £33M) in the AMC position. The full fee was £16,250,000 though so it wasn't that bad of a deal if you ask me. It was similar with Can.

Liverpool's strikers really are incredible on this game. First season I started Sturridge in a 4-2-3-1 and rotated him with Balotelli. Second season both of them picked up injuries that kept them out for months but Origi was even better than Sturridge was first season.

I feel so proud. I am always ****** that newly capped players only thank their country's manager even though we are the one who developed them. Then it happens every time and I thought, Ahh I guess FM already programmed it to become like that. I stand corrected. For the first time, a player say thanks to me when he got his first cap. I am beginning to like Jordan Rossiter more and more.

I've bee playing FM for 20 years (well CM before the split) this is my first foray into forums on the game.
Just starting my second season with Liverpool having won the league in my first. Anyone else a little disappointed with the ease of it?
I came into the game set on trying to play as close to real life as possible and not just sniffing around FM Base to find out who the best players are, who has clauses etc.
I've got attribute masking on and first job was to review staff (something I would expect any new manager to do). So having found that a lot are useless i recruited a lot of new scouts with good knowledge of Southern Europe, Brazil and Argentina plus some coaches specialising in one or two things each.

I addressed what I considered our current real life problems are. 2xGK, CB and an extra CM. Got Horn, Valdes, Balanta and Romero (all on my known players list). Put the best youngsters in 1st team squad for training. Gave new contracts in Jan to top players and GJ.
Won the league by one point. Now after spending remaining Budget on Kovacic and in new season i have £50m after adjusting budget and with ability to spread costs over a number years i can seemingly buy just about anyone...which annoys me.
I've decided against it (although Balanta wasn't happy so I swapped him with Marquinhos of PSG). I'm just buying up some young talent (home grown where possible) and sitting with a tonne of wedge. I've even turned down a £40m bid from City for Sakho.
Think they really need to make it more difficult to get players and money.
p.s. How good is John Flanaghan!!!

Flanagan is a worldy on this isnt he!
 
Especially as he has only 3 stars and naff all potential based on star rating. Any idea how the other youngsters turn out like Sinclair, Ibe etc?
 
Into my 2nd season haven't used Flanagan much but when I do he keeps getting sent off!!

Was a very solid player for me until he eventually got taken over by regens. Moved to Forest where he's helped propel them up to be a regular top 4 team.
 
how are we in the new patch im still playing my liverpool save from when the game first came out but thinking of starting a new one

I'm still on the same save since beta, and no way in **** I'm starting a new one. I'm only in 2024 though, so not sure if I'll be able to advance enough to get a new stadium built.
