looks like we are done for this window would still like us to sign digne and a DM if lucas leaves

FWIW, the Reus rumours just won't go away. And it's more than just media spec. That's from within the club.

Doesn't mean he's coming by any means. But they are exploring it.

more chance of me getting a titty **** of rihanna then there is of rues coming to liverpool

What do you guys think of the Digne links? I wouldn't be disappointed if we brought him in, I think he's a really good talent being stifled at PSG, and the competition would do Moreno some good. Enrique would have to go though - that should hopefully happen anyway, though can't see anyone willing to take his wages.

How about we save ourselves the 15 mill euros they want for him and promote a youth player to be backup. Win win situation.

Which youth player would you want to see? Flanagan is a right back primarily, would love to get him back in the side when he recovers though and can see him displacing Moreno at left back. Wisdom is centre/right and I'm not sure he'll make the cut, Gomez is primarily centre, then right, then left. Wouldn't mind seeing him play lots though, real talent. Anyone younger who could make an impression there?

Fingers crossed for Flanno. Another serious injury and I'm not sure what the future would hold for him..

Gomez is comfortable on the left. I feel it would just be a needless buy we have spent 300mill in less than 4 windows. Thats just crazy espicially with the cost of a new stadium. Somethings gotta give soon.

I honestly know very little about him in terms of actually watching him play (great on FM ha ha); but anyone that fails to win a first team place ahead of the woeful Maxwell would worry me.

If he's that promising, then yeah, I wouldn't mind adding him into the mix if it ultimately allowed Gomez or Wisdom to move back inside. That said, I've been that blown away by just how comfortable Joe Gomez has looked in pre-season, I'd honestly be totally comfortable giving him his head from day one at Stoke. I appreciate it's been against scrubs and the BPL is a massive step up, but there's just something about him when you watch him that screams 'this lad fits at this level' yer know? The fact he's switched over to last back the last 2 games, the position he played least in at Charlton, and hasn't missed a beat speaks even higher volumes.

Right here, right now, he and Clyne look like our best FB options by a Country mile. If he can carry on developing there, and ultimately move inside, I believe we'll have found our new Hansen/ Hyypia. Not to compare him to either of those two greats at this early stage; just he's of the same classy, ball playing defender ilk who actually knows and appreciated how to defend properly.

Can't speak highly enough of this kid.

But then this is Rodgers with his *** well and truly on the line, so he'll most likely do what all managers have a tendency to do and fall back on the experienced pros no matter how bad they've let him down. In this case, Moreno. Sighs.

Ok, back to playing scrubs but another good physical workout in the Malaysian heat.

Looks like we're settling back into his preferred 4-3-3/ 4-1-4-1 attack/ defence formation with again the bulk of what should start against Stoke in another strong XI.

(Right to left) Bogdan; Clyne, Skrtel, Lovren, Moreno; Lucas; Ibe, Henderson, Milner, Lallana; Origi.

Good showing for the Malysian passion please Red Men. Not arsed about pre-season kick arounds but the passion over there deserves its reward.

James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo said that unless something changes we will have a back four this season with Clyne - Skrtel - Sakho - Moreno the first choice line up

I think Digne coming in would be good business with further competition when Flanno returns to full fitness .. Starting to have good options for most positions

Oh yeah, 1 down against bin men. Great web but a Lovren f-up.

The middle as strong as ever all tour! You can't help but laugh.

Fantastic equaliser from Ibe. Cut inside, beat his man, and webbed it in from just inside the box.

Telling yer, the more minutes he gets, the more people will realise what Liverpudlians already know. He's a better overall talent/ prospect than what's just left to go down the road.

CHANCE! Divock Origi scuffs a first-time strike straight at the keeper and then fails to convert the rebound. Good opportunity for the Liverpool striker, that.

Lolz

David N'Gog MK2.

He's a yard slower in thought all the time. That strikers instinct just isn't there. Another example of someone having a half decent WC and people going WAY over board in the hype. For someone that's had 2 years in the French top league he should be further on than he is. Can't see him ever being anything better than Championship/ lower level premiership squad filler. All pace and VERY little else.

Honestly, see absolutely nottin' in him.

As for the game, I hate friendlies. Poorest attitude of the whole tour. And that's all that needs saying on that.

I did see he was credited with an assist for Ibe but reading Ibes goal it sounds like he did everything himself anyway lol

Liverpool push forward in search of an instant equaliser, but Divock Origi cannot quite get on the end of a cross

Jordon Ibe continues to threaten as Liverpool attack once more down the right. The winger feeds Nathaniel Clyne, whose cross is just too high for Divock Orig

CHANCE! Divock Origi is almost in behind and one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but a Malaysia defender does brilliantly to make a fine recovery tackle.

CHANCE! Jordan Henderson slips a ball through to Divock Origi, who fails to get the ball out of his feet and is closed down by the keeper.

The Origi highlights so far lol. He will score a hatty last 5 mins now ;)

^^^^^ Was a great tackle from the Malaysian fella'.

The least said about the rest the better.

Completely agree on Gomez, looks like he could be a real star for the future, just hoping he does get his chance. In relation to Rodgers playing Moreno as Gomez is inexperienced, most Liverpool fans will only have themselves to blame for coming out publicly about getting rid of Rodgers, I'm hoping he gives him a go anyway, you already know my opinions on Moreno, urgh.

I've also never seen Digne play so I have no comment on him, and if I have I haven't noticed him...

Absolutely.

And don't think I'm particularly signalling out Origi. I appreciate he's still just 20 and could still develop. I just don't see anything to really give you hope he's gonna' cut it at the top level to any great extent at all. That instinct just isn't there and that can't be taught.

Anyway, praise the Lord that's over. Very tired, end of tour a-typical game. Enough chances second half to win but nottin' to really write home about.

You'd hope the game in Finland next Saturday will be what stats at Stoke and with a much higher tempo/ better attitude. With the rest of the first team playing at Swindon on the Sunday.

BTW, as a total aside, I spent some time the other evening going through your FM stories that turned into a **** of a lot longer than I ever intended, lol. Very enjoyable read FWIW. But JC at Everton and Mourinho at Anfield? SERIOUSLY man? Lol.

He's not done much to be fair, I can't see him becoming a quality starter anytime soon!

hahah I don't know how Mourinho managed to do the switch directly from Everton to Liverpool.

I have to admit I did it to spice the story up but it was the worst 6 months of my football manager history. Managing a team you hate is so demotivating, I had to leave!
