Just imagine that counter-attacking side from 2 years ago, supported with Reina's excellent throws and kicks. Would've won the league in April.

Bit of a nothing first half with both sides fairly cautious. It definitely has an 'opening game of the season' feel about it

Hopefully the likes of Firmino, Ings, Origi may add something to our attack in the second half

I would bring ings on towards the end of the game feels like a one niler. Wouldnt be surprised if ings got himself a poachers goal from a benteke/ stoke centrehalfs melee.

Agree with Carragher tbh who would have thought it. Pool kicking far to much long balls from goal kicks, giving up easy possession. Need to mix it up more.

Thats my biggest scare with buying benteke. The team will just kick it long to him expecting him to make something from it. Same thing happened with carroll, except benteke is more than a target man so they can also play on the floor with him
