Expecting something like this tomorrow:

Mignolet
Clyne - Skrtel - Lovren - Gomez
Can
Hendo - Milner
Firmino - Benteke - Coutinho

There is a lack of width but that could be made up with the added creativity of Firmino and Coutinho. The likes of Ibe, Lallana, Ings and Origi to come on if needed also

I'd be more than happy with that side. (Save for Lovren but after Stoke, I can't see a change there. Just hope he keeps it simple and does what he's there for and not start thinking he can play football.).

I'd be even happier if Ibe and Firmino we're either side of Benteke, with Coutinho and Milner either side or them and either Can or Hendo the more defensive of the middle three. (Probably too much to hope to go back to the midfield diamond and 2 forwards.).

This is Bournemouth at home. Go out, take the initiative, and muller them!

Never in my wildest dreams through we'd be looking at going 2 games clear of the Champions 2 games in. What a great opening 2 weeks this is turning out to be.

In the (long shot) off chance that we have any Bournemouth fans on the forum who may be traveling up tomorrow; my heart goes out to you to have to make the journey on a Monday night. Costing you at least one day's work, with the prospect of being like a zombie at your jobs on the Tuesday if you do a round trip. Or two days off work and an overnight hotel stay.

Nothing new, but it's an absolute disgrace from both Sky and the Premier League to sanction that. In the same way they've got Liverpudlians in the same bind with the game at Arsenal the following Monday. And Newcastle fans with an even longer journey to West Ham the following Monday night game. And so on and so forth.

Something SERIOUSLY needs doing about this. I aren't naive enough to not expect the TV company to get their money's worth and milk prime time spots for all they can. But they forget without the fans, there is NO TV spectacle. There should be some legislation brought in that say's the early Saturday lunchtime game and the Monday night slot has to be between teams within a certain radius.

Consider the paying customer for once!

*Calms.

First game back at Anfield since I broke my foot against Utd last March.

Feel like a returning player ha ha.

3-0. Respect Bournemouth. But don't fear them.

Mighty Reds.

Unchanged team which surprises me a little - I can only presume Can and Firmino especially, are still lacking full match fitness

And still no Sakho, Lucas or Markovic on the bench as well

Great to see Benteke getting his first goal but im not quite sure how that wasn't offside... Surely under the new rules, Coutinho was offside?

Blatant offside. ******* typical, make a new rule and then completely ignore it.

100% by the new rule it was offside. He was actively going for the ball.

Was the first Bou goal not offside? Commentators spoke about it. I missed the start.

It was disallowed for a "push" again a terrible call.

Have i missed something can someone please explain the new offside rule.

Liverpool have been the better side, but the scoreline should be reversed. Would still expect them to win, but that is some **** poor reffing tonight

Benteke showing that he is a lot more than people were giving him credit for before he signed and Gomez/Clyne are such a big upgrade defensively on Johnson/Moreno it's scary

Would still like to see Can and Firmino come on in the second half and then starting at Arsenal

Thats why milner is vice captain, instead of being the experienced defender and leading the line during set pieces skrtel is to busy playing WWE. ffs.

This is why i couldnt believe some people were against Milner joining.

I think the only reason people was against milner is the sub of hendo today.

Milner might bring experience but that is it. It has been two games and in those two games it is clear that milner and hendo midfield is just devoid of creativity. Coutinho is the only one we have trying to thread passes. Good player just the wrong signing. imo
