That Benteke goal should have been disallowed though, The rule change isn't that hard to grasp!

Well I ain't complaining because Henderson is on my fantasy team, but **** if that wasn't one of the most blatant ref **** ups I've ever seen.

Hendersons volley was so unlucky aswell! he's in my FF also gutted that never went in lol.

Having seen both goals back since I've got home, neither should of stood. Lovren is clearly held down for Bournemouth's. Coutinho (who was MOTM by a street) clearly off side and making a play for the ball.

Very disappointed to see an unchanged side pre-match, but overall positives to take. MUCH better defensive shape and far more solid back there. Probably just about deserved the win with all the major chances and woodwork struck falling our way. Benteke off the mark. But an absolutely shocking miss at the end hitting the bar when it was easier to score. Ibe flourishing and the man, the myth, the living LEG-END Joe freaking Gomez having another sound outing against a more direct winger this time.

Not too bothered about the patchy play being as this is the second game of the year and the first five or so are normally like this with players getting fully match fit, teams getting an understanding again et all. ALL that matters the first month is getting the result. You get no bonus points for style. When we add more tempo to our attacking play (with Can and Firmino fully fit a big part in that); we'll be one tough proposition if we carry on as solid at the back as we've started out. Fantastic to finally have two full backs that can, you know, actually DEFEND again.

Roll on Arsenal. Got a real good feeling the Emirates hoodoo is about to end.

Far better start to the season than I expected. And wholly satisfied the way it's gone.

It was disallowed for a "push" again a terrible call.

As much as Lovren milked it. You can't expect to wrap both arms around someones neck, pull back, and get away with it. Neither goal should have stood imo.

Had a good look at the construction works around the new stand when I was there. Looks awesome, cannot wait for it to be finished. It looks so high!!

Performance wise? We got the 3 points I guess.. formation didn't work for me as usual. Good job Benteke is a ******* tank on his own the absolute beast. Expect great things.

Only just saw replays of his goal and to be honest should definitely not have stood. How is Coutinho not interfering with play!?

We're gonna win the league

Very early signs but hugely impressed by Benteke and more so, Joe Gomez. Bigger tests await but they have looked good in the first two games

Can't believe both Carragher and Neville are arguing for the Bournemouth 'goal' to of stood. Just because it happens all the time doesn't mean it shouldn't be called. It's like the non-penalty Villa should of had Friday on Darmian. Just because it happens all the time doesn't not make it a clear foul and penalty. Fella' had his arms on Lovrens shoulders. That's not naturally jumping with your arms out, That's pushing off. Or in this case pushing the opponent down. Clear foul and refreshing one gets called.

What the lino was doing on Benteke's goal **** only knows. That was a complete joke. Wasn't like it was even close.

How great is it to have two full backs that can actually do their jobs and you know, DEFEND!

Can't speak highly enough on #12 but his compadre Clyne's been quietly impressive too. Just doing his job and doing it well.

Clyne has probably been our most impressive signing

Also not forgetting to mention James Milner. He has a certain Dirk Kuyt about him - constant pressure, effort and harassing of the opposition (Which can often lead to the start of many attacks).

He will easily become a fan favourite this season

Agree with both, couldn't believe it wasn't a penalty against Darmian the other day, and that was a much clearer foul than the one on Lovren, which was still a foul in my opinion. Guess it goes to show how the benefit of the doubt is heavily in the defender's favour

Coutinho was definitely offside too, the goal shouldn't have stood. I'd like to think we were still worth the three points though

He already is - got a standing ovation near the end for running down every ball like a train that couldn't stop.

The formation and the way we played gave me shades of our time under Rafa.

Adrian's lost his appeal against the red card he received last Saturday so will miss the game at Anfield a week Sat'day.

Darren Randolph (Who? Exactly!) in West 'Am's net. Yes PLEASE!

Another boost in these excellent early week's to 2015/16.

Obviously a move for Pedro would be highly unlikely given the competition, but being available for 21.1mil I am surprised we have not been interested (either now or in the past)

If we are spending that amount on the likes of Lallana and Markovic it's a surprise we've not tried for Pedro.

Pedro would not leave Barca for non CL football when he has interest from clubs in CL.

Ok it may sound harsh but that's just the truth I think.
