I hope it does improve further, because we still should have conceded 2 or 3 goals

I'm getting tired of your sensible, well thought out approach in this thread regarding the managerial situation and the way the team plays. Please stop it-it's not normal for round here ;)

However If I remember clearly two of the gilt edged chances spurs had were from individual mistakes by skrtel. I specifically remember seeing him running backwards 3 times ( why does he always do that it allows op player to get closer to goal e.G martial goal ). I would be more worried if the chances came from an unorganised back four.

Exactly the discussion we had Saturday evening here. That was the other pleasing thing. The chances 'Spurs had came from either our mistakes or lucky ricochets. They didn't play through us. And those mistakes will only lesson the more we work together defending as a team under him. Again, irrespective of any mistakes and Mingolet with two great saves, not seen a L'pool team as organised defensively with a back 4 since Rafa. All after having them together for three days.

Great platform to build off.

BTW, I was thinking on Skrtel and yourself earlier and cursing Gomez's luck. Sure he'd of played a big part this year at centre half. Maybe not from the get-go, but as the season went on.

Hate all this should have scored shouldn't have scored business. If it hits the net its a goal, if you miss or the keeper saves it then you ****** up, the score at the end of the game determines the result not how many shots could have gone in.

everyone weighs up the Shoulda coulda wouldas of teams but the same goes to all 20 in the league. If it wasn't good enough to beat the goalkeeper, then it shouldn't be a goal.

Exactly man. Oh, FWIW, there's still limited Anny Road and Main Stand tickets on a general on the club site as I type for Thursday. Some restricted views. £23/25 and 28 notes respectively.

The majority of our defensive failures have been from individual mistakes - I can only remember a miscommunication between Clyne and Skrtel and the rest were poor balls which left Skrtel in a ridiculously hard position.. If he closes the ball gets squared and he is through, if he doesn't the player on the ball gets more time

It all starts with the individual errors, and although Skrtel has made them, I dont think he was entirely responsible for them on Saturday

I am excited over the appointment of Klopp, but I'm also wary not to go over the top

The way the fanbase is at the moment, he could pick his nose and it would be a masterstroke

I agree with you, but the hypocrisy comes when you have that view with Klopp in charge, but use it against Rodgers (Coutinho wondergoal, offside goal etc)

Not you, but many did..

Funny reading Neuer talking about tonights game saying all anyone in Germany is currently interested in is L'pool and Klopp.

#smallclub #powerofthenormalone

:).

Well said. You played better, but had than been Rodgers everyone would have been saying you were lucky not to lose. You were better than before, but it definitely wasn't an excellent first outing. It's not even the best you have played this season.

Loads of rumours about Markovic coming back, would be nice to see.

He's publicly come out and criticised Rodgers too, the second to do so after Aidy Ward, even if Ward is a top *******.

Think Markovic could be very useful in this side!

Paul Joyce has just tweeted he cannot be recalled - Loan is for the season

Yeah just seen! Shame.

Can's just done an interview with BILD and only has positives to say about Klopp,

Excited to see what were saying this time next year about him!
