Exactly. there will have been players at United for who we are, players because we were the best, players because we paid the best. What matters to me is that whatever their motives, they are committed and professional.

It's partly the reason Liverpool have struggled so much in recent years. Yes, we have spent the transfer fee, but our wage structure is a joke compared to that of our top 4 rivals.

I'm sure putting an extra 50k on Willian, Mkhitaryan, Sanchez etc contracts would have made them think very carefully about their next move

Despite being told yesterday that TV would bring in £8.3 billion over the next three years, Premiership clubs rejected a proposal to cap away ticket's at £30. (14 votes are needed for a proposal to be passed.). It's a secret ballot at that so individual clubs don't even have the balls to let it be known they're the ones repeatedly raping fans.

It will be back on the PL agenda in March, but to every PL club that voted against it, no doubt my own included, you're all an absolute shithouse disgrace. Enough is ENOUGH!

It's frustrating that it continues, but hardly surprising - exactly the same with our ticket prices.

Why would clubs with owners more money minded vote against it when the stadiums continue to be full each week

They wouldn't. But it's no reason to say why many more fans being priced out for the new breed that can afford it and don't care should just lie down and take it.

Hopefully, if more and more clubs choose to fight back, the continued outright greed to exploit the hand that feeds when there is absolutely no reason or justification for it off the back of the mega billion TV deal will prove to be the tipping point.

Texeira on his move: “Let’s put it like this: everyone always knew that I wanted to stay in Europe and move to the English Premier League club.
“But, unfortunately, all the proposals that came from them, were somewhat windy and did not contain anything concrete.
“Now I have received a serious offer from China. Of course, I’m moving there.
“At this stage, the Brazilian national team will move away from me a little further. But let’s see what happens in the future.”

Slightly different from his video claims 9 days ago huh?

If anything, his claims seem exactly the same. He wanted to go to Europe but all the offers that came in weren't up to scratch and Shakhtar made it clear that they wouldn't take any less for him. Basically, you made eyes at him, then weren't willing to cough up the relevant amount even though he wanted to move. It just reinforces how dumb the club were in trying to **** with Shakhtar, and the fact that he was yours if you hadn't tried to play them for chumps.

Dumb and played them for chumps is a bit strong - It's called negotiating.

On many occasions Liverpool have been guilty of negotiating silly amounts, but this wasn't one of them. It was worth negotiating and considering the player came out so openly in favour of a move gave us added incentive

Amazing reaction.

Ian Ayre: "If people want to leave after 77 minutes that is disappointing but it shouldn't be because they feel the prices are wrong." #lfc

The arrogance of the club through this puppet continues to astound. What frigging World do they live in? (Rhetorical, as it's not one you or I live in.).

It's PRECISELY because of that you jumped up little gobshite.

This man is a ****** *****. The spin coming out the club would make the Tory party jealous! Telling the press they couldn't ask Klopp any questions today on the protest was another shithouse move knowing what his reaction would of been. The Boston propaganda machine is in full flow.

Yeah, this ****'s gonna' get ugly.

Their initiatives for the kids is all well and good, but it is the parents who are having to pay for them with an increased ticket

They cant say they're helping the fans when the revenue increases by 2mil a year. 2mil! In football terms that is relatively nothing and in return it alienates the support, which will then possibly effect the team on the pitch if fans are walking out because of it!

You know one of the things that's really narking the living **** out of me within all this? When I walk out the ground tomorrow after 77 minutes, hopefully, along with thousands of others, I'll be doing something that goes against everything we stand for as Liverpool fans. Breaking that unique bond we have with players and managers. Something modern day Liverpool has been built on since '59 when Shanks walked through the door. Fans, players, manager. ALL that matters. The 'Holy Trinity' as the great man called it. The corner stone of all our success over the years. And FSG are forcing us, en masse for the very first time, to walk out on players and manager.

Thankfully, we once again have a manager who has done nothing but try his damndest from day one to bring back that bond and have that triumvirate as one again. He realises just how important WE are to everything he's trying to build. So at least he'll fully understand.

But for Boston to back us into a corner to break that bond is unforgivable.

All of this was predictable outcome of of selling so many PL clubs to foreigners. These people don't have a slightest clue about European sports culture, and how could they?

While walking out makes a good showing it gives you nothing and takes nothing from the Club (except atmosphere).

If people are really trying to make a point don't buy the tickets. Don't buy the merchandice and so on. Actually hit them somewhere which means something which is income. FSG and most of the owners don't care a thing about atmosphere in the stadium. It's all the same for them if the stadium is empty / there are empty seats if those seats have been paid for. This is something you see with Arsenal as almost every game is a sellout, but you see lots of empty seats(Though there have been some improvements with ticket exchange).

Very few locals will give the club any money outside of the ticket money. But I disagree. IF, and that's still a big 'IF' because you know there's going to many that don't leave on 77, a large enough portion do leave the ground to make it news worthy, that will make FSG sit up and take notice. And the sponsors if there's loads of empty red seats going round the World. Don't be fooled into thinking sponsors wouldn't be asking questions at those pictures from dissatisfied fans. Talking of, that will start tomorrow too. A concerted bombardment of the clubs sponsors telling them in no uncertain terms our dissatisfaction with Boston. The very last thing sponsors want is bad PR. Just ask Hicks and Gillett what effect that had on hastening their arses out the door the last time.

As a short notice thing with tickets already purchased, I think this is the ideal start to let Boston know this will no longer be tolerated.

Absolutely. There's bad owners from every Nation, Brits included. But American's seem to be one of the worst.

Utd fans have had their serious problems with the Glaziers. Their ticketing sham was even worse than ours. Villa have been been completely destroyed by Lerner. We've had two bad experiences. The first an absolute clownshow that all but destroyed the club. And Arsenal fans are having big problems with Kroenke.

The major differences between the two cultures, not least sportingly as you say, is a big factor. ****, FSG even promote us in their prospectus to potential investors as a 'storied franchise.' We're a ******* privately owned FOOTBALL CLUB! You get the impression if they could, they would move (in their words) 'the franchise' to London to make even more money.

Declaring interest in the player and not backing it up with suitable offer. Typical Liverpool but usually end up paying huge money, this time didn't.

Also I thought Liverpool were back among the big teams by beating Chelsea for this signing :P , at least was told by some here.
