Benteke out for a month with a ruptured LCL in his right knee.

Probably never see him in a red shirt again.

I did this injury at the end of September and have still not fully recovered. Very salty to hear that it only take footballers a month to recover from it :'(

Ben Smith, formely of the BBC, also said last night that we are pushing to secure both Gotze and Zielinski by the 1st July.

Would be a fantastic start should we succeed.

Maybe. I had just read those rumours as a-typical lazy journalism TBH, i.e. Link Klopp with every Dortmund player going because that's what he'll want. Dortmund MK2. *Rolls eyes.

Exactly. The only player with a Dortmund past you really want is Gotze. Would be an excellent addition.

Real sorry to read that mate. Here's hoping for an eventual full recovery.

Knee problems are the LAST thing you need.

I still hardly know a thing about Zielinski, have never seen him play or really heard of him until the links began. The fact that Udinese have loaned him out is a slight concern, although given the nature of the Pozzo family it could just be he was an unknown quantity and has flourished on loan. If Klopp has identified him though, I'm more than willing to support his potential signing

Sakho having a bit of a mare just like me today I have lost a 50 pound steam code the salt is real

Sakho is a good cb but his style is just not what I would be comfortably with in a central defender

He's like a playmaker playing in defence, trying some cute flicks here and there to maintain possession when he should be thumping the ball away. Chances are the flicks won't find a red shirt and will go straight to a white one instead.

Good game for neutrals to watch, could have gone to either teams. MOTM for me was a toss up between Coutinho "the magician" and Hendo who had his best game in quite some time.

Excellent game of football with just about the right end result. Albeit very disappointed with some of the gilt edged chances not to of won it. Sturridge in particular first half, who was very poor again. His assist excepted. Thought Lovren was immense again at the back. His turnaround under Klopp has been miraculous and you'd now be more than happy to say one of the two slots for next year is his to lose. Excellent work rate from all the players. The pressing was relentless. Tottenham may of expected an easy ride before Dortmund but that just doesn't happen with Klopp's L'pool. ANY game.

Roll on Thursday now and the next step on the road to Basle and that 4th UEFA Cup.

Seriously can not wait for that one.

Watched Hoffenheim- Cologne (1-1) yesterday for our reported targets. Hoffenheim have a TWENTY EIGHT year old manager. Never played a pro game in his life and has worked his way up through the coaching ranks. Amazing story. But I digress .....

I REALLY want Hector. He'd completely box off the LB slot. Easy to see how he's elevated himself to Germny's first choice LB. Quick, strong. Positionally very smart. Technically sound. Great when he does support the attack. Put some great balls into the box, one of which was the assist for Colognes goal. Strong in the air. He even took a few inswinging corners with his left that whipped into the middle. Yeah, BIG man crush going on as regards him.

Horn had little to do as Cologne dominated the game. Good save with his feet the first half from some guy on loan from Leicester. Made a great save in injury time when he did everything right, pushing it away from goal ..... only for Volland to of gambled to volley in from a tight angle. Positionally he looked sound. Big presence.

And for Hoffenheim, Volland looks a lively young forward. Took his goal superbly and was Hoffenheim's biggest threat. A lot of developing to go, but he'd be decent depth if there's anything there whilst he does.

And their massive 6'5 centre half Sule, the German U-21 defender that's been heavily linked, looks very promising. Big, strong, commanding the air as you'd expect. Kept his position well and got his full back out of trouble a few times. Got a brilliant touch on a great Hector ball right across the area the back stick that looked a certain goal. And very tidy with a ball at his feet.

Someone's going to be taking a very good, young centre half off Hoffenheim's hands sooner rather than later. Be nice to add him into our mix.

Can agree with that, Hector, Volland and Sule would be brilliant signings. I doubt we'd sign all three though, seems like a bit of overkill almost that you don't tend to see irl, only in FM, particularly after taking Firmino - then again, nobody told Rodgers that with Southampton.

Can't really comment on Horn because there's no doubt he's a talent but I've heard he's a little bit shaky in the air, like Mignolet which is what we don't want.

Get the complete opposite on Horn Pat. He's always looked a real commanding presence in the air the games I've seen him.

I intend to try catch Cologne again before the years out so I'll report back my take FWIW.

I'd like Liverpool to sign Horn purely on the basis of all the variations on "Klopp gets the Horn" headlines

Can he also play right back. :P

I severely sprained my AC joint but thankfully it was only grade 1. Any more damage would have needed surgery I think.

That was over a year ago now and I still don't feel 100% in the gym on shoulder day.
