Still in our hands but I agree with Scouse. I dont want a qualifier at all, considering our ranking in Europe we could end up playing against a top side for all we know.

CL qualifiers are ******* brutal man, plenty of strong teams, and the **** teams are playing like their life depends on it (which isn't far from the truth, nothing motivates people like a big payday). You don't want to be anywhere near qualifiers if you have the option.

Very enjoyable season with the Lancashire Senior Cup Final still to come. Would have been nice to win it but all that ultimately matters is developing first team players and with two first team games to go this year Trent has gotten 12 appearances under his belt in a wonderful season with young Ben 8. With the boss moment for him in becoming the club's youngest-ever scorer against Leeds. Just a pity Ejaria, Grujic and Ojo have all had injury-ruined seasons or I'm sure they'd of got more game time. Along with the returning Gomez. Throw in Harry Wilson's making his debut, and all those players now training full time at Melwood with the first team group, and it's been a very productive season indeed at 23's level. Rhian Brewster's rapid rise has just capped it off. If we do indeed get £10 million for Kev Stewart off Brighton that pays for the running of the academy another few years by itself.

Looking forward to seeing who makes a big jump this coming pre-season like Ejaria and Woodburn did last. Harry Wilson looks primed for that after his 28 goal, double-figure assist brilliant year along with the likes of Ryan Kent retuning from a year the Championship at Barnsley after being voted their young player of the year and Chiravella's excellent displays in Holland the past 5 months.

Very enjoyable season with the Lancashire Senior Cup Final still to come. Would have been nice to win it but all that ultimately matters is developing first team players and with two first team games to go this year Trent has gotten 12 appearances under his belt in a wonderful season with young Ben 8. With the boss moment for him in becoming the club's youngest-ever scorer against Leeds. Just a pity Ejaria, Grujic and Ojo have all had injury-ruined seasons or I'm sure they'd of got more game time. Along with the returning Gomez. Throw in Harry Wilson's making his debut, and all those players now training full time at Melwood with the first team group, and it's been a very productive season indeed at 23's level. Rhian Brewster's rapid rise has just capped it off. If we do indeed get £10 million for Kev Stewart off Brighton that pays for the running of the academy another few years by itself.

Looking forward to seeing who makes a big jump this coming pre-season like Ejaria and Woodburn did last. Harry Wilson looks primed for that after his 28 goal, double-figure assist brilliant year along with the likes of Ryan Kent retuning from a year the Championship at Barnsley after being voted their young player of the year and Chiravella's excellent displays in Holland the past 5 months.

Yeah we are a couple years behind. As our quality youth starts at u18s then down from there.

I would like to see someone like Ojo, Trent or Wilson given some game time at right wing in the last couple of games. We're clearly lacking pace and width without mane and need to change something.

Anyone seen this before? Came across it last night and upon investigation today, it turns out the BBC banged it on as a late change the night before the 2001 UEFA Cup final. Which explains why I'd never come across it as we were already in Dortmund at the time and I'd only set the video up for the match!

Entertaining 56-minute watch like for any Reds. Real well-done doco by the Beeb.

Agreed on all counts mate. The Brazilian Scouser. This Century's Molby in how he completely assimilated and got this City and how we tick from the get go. Still criminally undervalued by too many Reds.

Think you'll really enjoy this. The Wrap lads have just put this out for free which was done a few months back. Great hour long sit down with Lucas. (The Alonso one was equally as enthralling but that's still a subscription so I can't share that sadly or I would.).
