Its safe to say that if sakho career in Liverpool wasn't over it is now.

'Pool just don't impress me at all anymore. A lot of work needed in the summer

That defence when you look at it apart from Matip is garbage. Talk of a new contract for Lovren scares the **** out of me if I'm being honest. All we had to do was see it out till half time and i'm sure we would have won the game. The goal gave them hope and something to cling on too. Hope City do us a favour against youse lot.

So my Eagles are in Anfield on Sunday. Hope to get a point. Let's have a BENTEKE! day!

Congratulations. Thoroughly deserved win. But then you didn't have to do much of anything with how poor L'pool were.

Matip's been all over the place since he's come back from injury too TBF. His early season brilliance has LONG left the building and he's been as woeful most weeks recently as anyone else. F knows what Lovren was doing both goals but it wasn't f-ing good!

One special piece of brilliance from Phil aside, horrible afternoon's outing. ***** and flat on the pitch. ***** and flat in the stands.

Classy from Benteke. The less said of Sakho the better. The less said on anything more today the better still.

Onto Watford and a trek everyone could well do without Bank Holiday frigging Monday evening. Thank you SO much Sky. REALLY appreciate that.

Yeah he has been poor but only reason I mentioned him being the only good one was due to his early season form. Still think we have just about enough to sneak top 4 due to our fixture list. Iv'e probably gone and jinxed it now lol.

The thing is, that loss today has not only opened the door to United but also Arsenal as well again. This final few weeks it will effectively be Arsenal, Liverpool and United fighting for that one spot. Although City aren't totally out of the woods either.

On a seperate note, Allardyce and Benteke is a perfect fit with the way they play.

I'm not Allardyce's biggest fan but can only admire his record of not having a team relegated in PL, Palace were in deep trouble when he took over and now they are strolling to midtable seemingly.

We have the added bonus of the teams around us playing each other so someone has to drop points. The teams we play have got nothing to fight for apart from maybe Boro if they haven't gone down already. Then again if we **** it up we only have ourselves to blame because even with the injuries we should have more than enough to beat the teams remaining.

Coutinho really turning into one of the best defo improved this season. Overall I've been impressed with Matip this season. And will eat my words as I thought he would be poor!

Its amazing in the one thread we have the MOU/PEP tactic genius arguement, and another we have Big Sam (and Pulis) proving square pegs, square holes. Basics/Set pieces covered still works a treat in "The toughest league in the world".

Love Footy :)

Except when it happens against you its the worst thing in the world. :D

Really can't decide what the best outcome would be Thursday night. I guess a City win or a draw. But you could make a case for any result. Hopefully Leicester and Palace do us a favour against Arsenal and 'Spurs tomorrow. Which is a double edged sword as a 'Spurs slip up would take Chelsea one step nearer the title.

One thing is for **** sure. We can't afford ANY more games like Sunday. L'pool need to win out. NO exceptions. Or else not only does this year turn into an even bigger disappointment than it currently is (which is ridiculous to say as it's still a massive leap forward from last year's 8th place. But it sure feels like it given the league was there for the taking); but the summer transfer plans and much-needed strengthening will be up in the air with no Champions League carrot to offer.

Ok. Playing for third and the last automatic place now everything's levelled out after tonight.

Could of done without Arsenal spawning it but hopefully 'Spurs will end them Sunday. Still don't know what the best result is tomorrow. Keep flip flopping on this. Think a draw or a Utd win. But regardless, just win out L'pool. Don't want 4th and a qualifier at all.

Liverpool midfielder Kevin Stewart*targeted by Brighton manager Chris Hughton

Another perfect example of how FSG continue to learn from their mistakes and how well managed and professional the football club now is from the top on down.

Doing the contract extension before it ran out was a great move for club and player. With the best will in the World, Kev Stewart knew/ knows he's no future at Anfield. But it secured his long-term financial future and will get him even more from a move after having a decent few games the last two years to put himself in the spotlight for the right club. And L'pool stand to make a very tidy profit by tying him down when his contract had run down even if he wasn't in our long-term plans. Unlike the ridiculous mess the likes of Everton with Barkley and Arsenal with their multitude of contracts next year all unbelievably up at the same time.

Mutually beneficial for all concerned.

£10 million though on top of Ibe and Smith to Brighton last year for a combined £21 million. Phew.
