Another offside goal I’m hearing? :P

Oh God yeah. Didn’t you know all we do is dive and cheat and have the FA and officials all on our side making sure we win this league? ;)

Joking aside, pretty bad that nobody sat in the MOTD studio, alg with Edsie Howe, knows the off-side rule.

No Lineker and co, VAR wouldn’t have ruled that off-side. Hands and arms don’t count: aren’t considersd as part of your body, as you can’t playbthe ball with them.

Higher wage bill than City. That’s really, and pleasantly, surprised me.

Coming off the club ‘officially’ admitting to the rumours tofay that it’s fielding offers for a league record kit manufacturing deal of £75 million plus a year to add to the the brand value increasing by 33% over the last year, continued reinvestment in our own is as pleasing as the money thats rolling in.

Absolute belter of a piece. ‘You’d better honour that contract!’ Haha.

Websters made up and how down to earth is Alisson? Honestly never seen the players and supporters as connected as we’ve been over the last 18 months. They’ve all fully bought into our culture and are loving the experience, engaging and happily helping out more and more in the local community and with L’pool fans in all facets. With it all steming from the mad German ******* driving the train.

Our fan culture really is unique. (Just don’t tell Anthony. He’s still in denial. ;) ).

What Jay does with the BOSS Nights home and abroad ..... what other fan base could/ would organise a gig like Paris for a Euro away?

Scousers. We just like to have a great time regardless of the result.

Not surprising got alot of squad players on obscene wages. Heck markovic was on more than 70k a week along with Mignolet, Lallana and Clyne. Expect the wage bill to drop when squad players like Lallana, Sturridge and perhaps Milner if Leeds get promoted move on.

It appears, among other things, we account for far more staff than City do in those figures d:

Where has this ‘Milner to Leeds’ thing originated from? Or are people just putring 2 and 2 together and making 5? See it often on-line.
If it was up to me I would give Milner a 5 year contract. Completely turned it around from a headless chicken in the middle of the park to an excellent midfielder who is capable of playing many positions to such a high standards. However, if Leeds do go up and with Milners contract up it makes sense for him to return to his boyhood club.

I expect in the summer to see Sturridge and Origi moved on and replaced with another forward capable of playing across the line e.g Werner. Lallana, unfortunately, can't be trusted to be on the field for more than a couple of matches and apart from an upturn in form for 6 months he has been a bit of meh. Wouldn't be surprised to see another midfield signing as the Captain as much as I rate him needs to be phased out as his fitness issues mean he can't play more than two games at a time. A Home grown experienced keeper as backup would be ideal to finally be rid of the worst first choice keeper in LFC history in Mignolet. Another fullback to replace Moreno and Clyne as TAA and Robertson once they are out of the side our whole team suffers as the fullbacks play a major role in how we play.

Because Pep’s always fascinating to listen to (great video)/ read:

https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/338146-pepijn-lijnders-interview-liverpool

As an important a Dutch acquisition as ANYONE at L’pool FC.

Yanno’, when folk (often still. Madly) say we ‘miss Buvac/ should replace him with X (Wagner leaving Town the latest) et al’, it always seems a real slight on Pep to me and no less disrespectful to him.

The more you hear/ read Lijnders thoughts on pretty much everything football related, allied to both what they put out in terms of training videos and the exceptionally high esteem all the players/ staff hold him in every time they mention him; the more you appreciate just what a brilliantly innovative young fooball mind our Dutch #2 has. And he aligns perfectly with Jurgens philosophy in how he see’s not just football but people.

With absolutely no disrespect to Buvac, who I can’t thank nor praise enough for his part with all his hard work in laying the foundations; I really don’t think it can be understated just how important Pepijn has been through it all. From being that continued bridge between the Academy and first-team, through all his input/ teaching on first-team training/ preparation and matches, to now being ‘officially’ bumped to Jurgens assistent (which he was in-effect all along); the importance on his return this year has been as crucial as ANY on-field signing to me. And the proof is in the pudding.

If he doesn't get the (natural) urge to become the main man and manage another club before Jurgen hangs it up; I have a feeling we have our next manager being groomed in-house in the arl boot room tradition.

But it’s WAY too early to be having that discussion.

Talking Dutchmen, a great Times piece on well arguably Tottenham’s (Eriksen not withstanding), and certainly L’pool’s, best midfielders this season to date.

Both absolutely integral to their respective teams and very informative for those that just look at goal/ assist stats and still (madly) ask just what Sissoko and Wijnaldum actually do?
