Think they will be stubborn and make sure any team that wants him pays the release clause (25 million i think)

That's certain. And I think Rakitic is worth that.

Yes, you can. Just look at Bayern last season. Dominating everybody but still scoring loads of goals on counterattack.

I do actually have stats for this. Bayern scored 6 counterattacking goals in the BL last season, Dortmund 12. Madrid scored 15.

And I had stats where RVP ran more than 90% strikers, yet he's relatively lazy for you. Statistic is often like a bikini ;)

For Rakitic 25 million isn't bad, but hes 28 now. We won't pay that for him

Also, COME ON EVERTON

Haha fair point. Agree to disagree!

What? Rakitic just turned 26!

woops, thought he was older! still not sure if we'd pay that. I'd much rather Rakitic than Lallana, especially since they'd cost about the same. We really could do with another CM who can create and score

And defend. Rakitic would fit a lot better than Lallana for Liverpool.

Rakitic, Konoployanka, Alberto Moreno, would be my 'dream' start to the summer.

Maybe try for Griezmann instead of Kono, or Volland. maybe Emre Can, or Hakan Calhanoglu too. Ah there's too many I want, and think we can get now we're in the CL!

For me, the game today decides the Premier League title

City drop points and there is a chance for Liverpool, however i cant see City dropping any points in the final two games so win today and it's as good as finished

they did win. sigh. feeling heartbroken..so close yet not enough to think. the thing that hurts the most is knowing our captain and leaders slip is what costs us the title as it played into chelskis hands with them scoring and having to sit back. i honestly think this club is cursed ffs.

The way this season has been going, I would put money on both us and City dropping points in our last two games. This season has just been crazy.

Would any one take Ashley Cole?

Seemed likely it was his farewell game against Norwich and he is available on a free transfer. Despite his age he has shown he is still one of the better defenders about

Yes definitely still a quality player better than any left back we have. Could do a job for a season or two and allow Rodgers to focus on improving other positions.

Hate the **** but I'd take him. Attack and Defense he is outstanding at both.

What about Dusan Tadic? Guy played some amazing football last few years, he's become beast in Twente...

Very good shout and a fantastic player from what I've seen - which isn't a HUGE amount, but it's enough - but I'm not certain he's what Liverpool really needs. You're all good in that band behind the striker with Suarez, Sterling and Coutinho, but you need a central midfielder to help Gerrard as he ages. Tadic would definitely be worth it if he was relatively cheap though.

Liverpool's starting eleven really is not far off, it is the 'squad' that needs improving more than anything. When injuries occur or a player is having a bad day we dont have the ability to change the game from the bench

If we can just add five or six players (What Rodgers said he wants) to cover most positions (CB, Fullback, Defensive mid, Center mid, Winger, striker) it would make us so much stronger

He shouldn't be that pricey. Twente has it rough with its finances so i guess you could get him for 8-10m. He can become really good and when he's in form he plays brilliant football, but if he isn't in form it's just meh. But i guess Rodgers should be able to improve him.

For 9 million, he would be a ridiculous steal.

I agree. A win tonight would go a long way and I could see city slipping vs either villa or west ham.
