If Rodgers was too leave then Klopp coming in would be a sensible choice... Anyone else (that is available) would be madness

I wouldn't say madness. I'd take Benitez or De Boer at Liverpool in a heartbeat IF Rodgers was sacked.

I have said it before and will say it again. I don't think Benitez is the right person right now. Benitez has turned into a special manager in knock out games. UCL with LFC, Europa League with Chelseas, Semi finals at the moment in Europa League with Napoli. While on the Italian League Napoli is fourth behind Lazio, Roma, Juventus he could at least be 3rd or 2nd in such an easy league(compared with the BPL). On the other hand Klopp won the German League with Dortmund recently but I am not sure if he would thrive in BPL he is an agressive manager(I like that but I am not sure it suits to our team). To be honest I prefer to give Rodgers time and !good new players! so he can bring us back to being competitive for the UCL. I am dissapointed with Rodgers but is not entirely his fault. I think he deserves one more year. Moreover, I don't think that any new available manager will have any better results than him.

Andy Hunter and Dom King reporting Depay is our number one target and the player is keen to join us

This is just the beginning of a long saga with a disappointing ending.. Willian, Costa, Mkhitaryan, Sanchez all over again

I know United have a lot of money to spend but I can't see that happening.. That is probably 175million there

They reporting that tonight? I know this news is for tomorrows papers so just wondering if the Ogden story is outdated?

Both stories reported tonight for tomorrow paper. We could spend that tbh before sales.

It just goes to show its what you want to believe!

Its incredibly frustrating being a rival fan and seeing United buying their way out of trouble and back to the top of English football... The way things are going the Premier League will become a three team league

Tbh mate I can't see it myself Bale as well as all the rest. But you never know with Woodie lol and if LVG wants said targets the club will do all they can to acquire them. See a article linking you with Benteke. Thoughts?

Oh, its complete jealousy on my part - I would love nothing more than Liverpool to be in the position United are in haha. Personally I cant see Bale either!

Benteke would be a good signing, but I'm really not sure on what price i'd be willing to pay. 15-20mil max and that isn't going to happen. You?

I would like Benteke also if RVP and Falcao left. Would not pay more than 20m but papers quoting 30m which is a bit much, bit if Pool are willing to pay that much would be good signing IMO.

Only problem is, papers are reporting Sterling to Man City could happen as well

Wouldn't United be in trouble due to Financial Fair-play if they spend so much(175£) or even 120 or 150£ m in transfers this summer? since they will not really sell anyone to balance those numbers?

I imagine they can probably get away with spending £150m for one more transfer window because of their income, however I expect them to sell certain fringe players to make up some of that.

Just to put United's finances into perspective compared to other PL clubs I recommend you read this...

Few things on Depay reported by the Echo...

#LFC have made Depay an offer. Liverpool are willing to pay the £20m asking price set by PSV. (James Pearce)

Sources close to Depay have confirmed that his heart is set on a transfer to the PL & that he was impressed with Liverpool’s plans. (Pearce)

Depay, who has starred for PSV out on the left flank rather than as a central striker, is aware of how Suarez flourished at Anfield (Pearce)

CL is not a deal breaker for Depay - more interested in finding a club where he will command a regular first-team spot & develop. (Pearce)

Depay wants his future to be decided shortly after the completion of the Dutch season later this month & before he goes on holiday. (Pearce)

If we get Depay it will be a real statement of intent. Wasn't very excited for the transfer window but maybe things are better than I thought.
