You would think the fans would be as well.. Atmosphere has been terrible

its been getting worse and worse last couple of seasons. remember the atmosphere of the CL games back in the days those were amazing. even this years european games the atmosphere were absolute dull.

Great to see the manc supporters gloating cause the great LVG has got them 4th!! At least we've been rubbish in the epl for the past 20 odd years so nothings changed this season

Well, if the claws are out, then we're gloating. Yeah, we've made top-4 with an unbalanced squad, but then again, noone expected this level of injuries. I mean, this is Arsenal level. But more so, we're gloating because we made top-4 at your expense >_>..

To coin the famous phrase, it was 'knocking you off your perch' again..//

But on the other hand, for Liverpool, almost none of your transfers worked out, plus Sturridge being out for most of the season kinda actually points to this season as over-achievement.. There is the arguement about the botched transfer process in the first place, but that's for another time.

no claws at all mate, we've been off our perch for a long time, but you must love being completely wiped out of the universe by Chelsea and you favorite neighbors Man City, and yes that may be because they have bought there titles, fair play to them for getting took over by billionaires.

****** vs United 1-0
United vs ****** 4-2

Chelsea vs United 1-0
United vs Chelsea 1-1

Of course, we probably have different definitions of 'being completely wiped out of the universe'....

Incase you're talking about PL title, then..

2010 - Manchester United
2011 - Manchester City (Last Day)
2012 - Manchester United (by a canter)
2013 - Manchester City
2014 - Chelsea

Again, probably different definitions of 'being completely wiped out of the universe'...

Other than the disastrous Moyes season, I don't see reason, but then again, I probably never will..

United fans are coming into a Liverpool thread celebrating that they have beat us to 4th position.. It's a big fall from grace, no matter how long it will last

From Koptalk: "FSG have allegedly voted in favour of releasing Brendan Rodgers in the summer ***SUBJECT TO*** the securing of their chosen candidate."

its common knowledge if you search around the internet that fsg arnt happy with rodgers one bit. unless its klopp or emery then theres no point in replacing him. get a DOF in to help rodgers with the transfer and implement a football strategy in which rodgers will stick too and not start faffing about with. personally i hope we get rid as he doesnt seem to learn from his mistakes, tactically naive i could go on but i wont.

If Klopp is indeed the man to take over, I will have no problem with it as we will be replacing him with a very good manager. I just hope Rodgers isn't sacked with nobody lined up

The only worry is that with a new manager, comes a new philosophy and a new football club almost. Fans are not exactly patient so it can work both ways

I know we have discussed this a lot in the past but there is already a transfer commitee which in essence is performing the role of a director of football

In my opinion, the biggest problem of them all is the transfer strategy. Rodgers and other members have their hands tied behind their backs before they even start (A manager such as Klopp would help this department simply due to his name)

They have to find young talent, with low wages and a low fee whilst fighting off competition from bigger clubs willing to offer more in every department

the transfer commitee has clearly failed but they dont act a DOF. i meant someone above rodgers who willl tell him to play a certain style of football or a system that suits the players, so rodgers wont revert back to his stupid possesion for no reason style.

That's certainly not the job of a director of football... That just requires a new manager if you feel that way

This FFP news will really put pressure on FSG now. If they're relaxing the rules, FSG can't pull the 'WE'RE TRYING TO BE SUSTAINABLE, and WE CAN'T COMPETE WITH UNITED'S MONEY AND COMMERCIALISM " et al.
