That's certainly not the job of a director of football... That just requires a new manager if you feel that way

then what do ajax do with cruyff, and along with barca. its the DOF job to implement a football strategy and make sure the manager follows it.

We may as well let our DOF be our manager then... The only thing a DoF of football should be in charge of is off the field circumstances than could benefit the club on the pitch

Setting the scouting assignments, buying/selling players or having a large say in the matter, handling contract negotiations or again having a large part in it etc.

no we dont really have too, it would take the pressure of rodgers, as it would allow him to do what he is excellent in which is the coaching side. havinf a DOF will mean that he and rodgers will have a say in the team playing a certain way and if rodgers doesnt follow it he can go. its the only that would stop us having another slow start to the season because of rodgers messing about. either that or the same things well keep happening over and over again.

I'm absolutely against the whole "Rodgers out" campaign, I just really hope he seeks advice on his signings this summer. The thing that angers me the most is that our sudden drop in form has made United's "accomplishment" of 4th look impressive.

Despite this being an absolutely horrendous year for Premier League points taken in general (with the exception of Chelsea), I'm not sure whether to be content or disappointed with how we've performed. We are 50 goals off of last years total, no doubt thanks to the absence of Suarez (-31 goals) & Sturridge (-20 goals) and Rodgers must be blamed for deciding Balotelli, Lambert and Borini were enough. I suppose you can put that down to a lack of transfer options, our main man Sanchez was (least say it's because of wages but we all know it wasn't) poached from us by Arsenal.. And that didn't leave anyone else, maybe Falcao? But I suppose we can be happy we dodged that bullet. Defensively we've done better (statistically at least), not sure how, I don't feel like we've been better defensively but you can't argue with numbers, no doubt in part to Mignolet & Can's performances, alongside Skrtel's return to form. I suppose I feel pleasently surprised that we didn't finish 7th, but I can't help that bitter taste of throwing away an easily achievable top four finish.

We need some big names this Summer, who? I haven't a clue. Lallana and Markovic have impressed. Origi has been hit and miss at Lille but he will definitely add some firepower. Ballotelli, Lambert & Borini should probably just leave while they can still find suitors. I think it will take more than the signings of Ings and Milner to help us bridge the gap to fourth! (no disrespect to them, I admire them both).

would advice be in the form of a DOF then because he seeked advice in the form of a transfer commitee and well yeah.... 117mill wasted to say the least.

Apparently within the next 24 hours Sterling is going to tell Rodgers that he wants to leave Liverpool.

Bournemouth might be interested, doubt anyone else is. His performances have been absolutely abysmal. Coutinho, however, now that's a player!

@BenSmithBBC Sterling has actually already told Brendan Rodgers he wants to leave Liverpool this summer. Did so before the Chelsea game

I feel Sterling doesn´t deserves to play on LFC anymore, he is showing no respect for the team and fans

if theirs one thing i agree with its this. rodgers has left him to the savage media. the moment sterling contract bullshit came out he should have dealt with it in house. instead of saying sterling was given an "amazing offer" and that he was being greedy. poor kid has been badly advised both ways.

I would give him this advice. Stay at the Liverpool for one more season. See if they can grow with him. If they can, sign new contract. If not, leave on free and join United :^)
