This is simply rivals fans wanting to have a moan

It's really not. Gerrard was an immense player but the amount that the media have been fawning over him for weeks has been nauseating. He was good and he was well liked, I get it: I don't need to hear about it every single ******* day. For the LFC channel that kind of coverage would be fantastic but for national news outlets it was embarrassingly sycophantic.

Absolute rubbish? Really. I am not the only one saying it. Anyone with half a brain can see how over the top this whole Gerrard farewell has been. I don't remember Giggs or a Scholes getting anything on this scale either when they bowed out of the game

dude, its sky rupert murdoch and his croonies only care about profit. what did you expect, the premier league has been won so no story, the relegation have been sorted, between newcastle and hull no one cares etc... only thing left is to milk as much out of this gerrard farewell nonsense to bring in viewers etc... common sense really.

But if it was Super Frank it would all be justified... Gerrard is a legend of the game and deserved all the praise he has received

Their is a fine line between giving praise and going completely over the top with it. Players like Giggs, Scholes and Lampard have won far more trophies for their clubs and were essentially one-club men as well. Don't see them getting all this praise from the media populated by ex-LFC players and managers

Rodgers when he gets fired: "I think the decision is outstanding, the owners show real character."

Rodgers next time he gets hired: "I think they made an outstanding decision, I have real character."

Rodgers' tombstone: "An outstanding man with real character."

It really is. Completely justified and well deserved

I would say it's a lot to do with the media's general love for Liverpool and the fact that ex-LFC men dominate the media scene. Funny how karma bites you in the *** eventually though. The legendary Stevie G bows out with the heaviest defeat since the 1960s

Since 1963...you lost 7-2 to spurs

'Premier League' so Im guessing before it was division 1 was not took into consideration

I'll just repeat myself - Well deserved and thoroughly justified

i just gave you a simple reason. profit what brings in viewers. fairy tale like endings, i mean if your going to have a moan atleast use common sense. were has all this over the top gerrard bs come from. SKY. Need i say more.

Never said I disagreed with you

the tombstone bit i nearly dropped my laptop. loool. i just imagined onlookers reading his gravestone going i guess he had character.

Giggs, Scholes, Lampard and others similar deserved exactly the same. All legends of the game

No ... Just admit the farewell has been completely over the top instead of constantly retreating and conceding. The farewell the likes of Giggs and a Scholes got was nice and respectful. The farewel Gerrard is getting was completely ridiculous

Lol wut? No one even knew he was going to leave till after he played his last game.

Yeah, and then he did have his last game and it was a major story for a long while. So stop making **** up about how nobody notices poor Frank.

Get your facts right son before spouting nonsense as usual

I've gotten my facts ages ago, - you're suffering from chelsea victim complex that is so severe, you're probably going around shops complaining that strawberries are red instead of blue because farmers have liverpool bias.

You got to be a complete idiot if you think the farewell Lampard got is anything comparable to the one Gerrard is got. And stop with the this whole Chelsea persecution complex, it's getting boring ... If you notice, I actually mention Giggs and Scholes although I never felt literacy was one of your strengths anyways so I'll let you off. Tyton the clown

Doesn't stop me from criticizing the fact that he does get it anyways

well the way your talking about it, is as if it is gerrards fault and that he orchestrated this whole situation. then i remembered you were right and gerrard is the head of sky. my bad.

permission to use as my own joke. lol.
