Not a fan of Rondon.

Honestly, outside of Bacca the Europa Lge Final and Brazil this Copa America, I've never seen any of them play to judge. (Meaningless YouTube compilations not withstanding.).

Firminio certainly linked well with Phil the other night FWIW so I'll probably watch the rest of Brazil's games this tournament out of interest.

Globo Esporte are reporting that it's almost a done deal to take Firmino to Liverpool.

Great business to replace Sterling for less than you sell him for and before you sell him. Only question is whether he will adapt well, Brazilians tend to struggle for a while.
Globo Sport also said same for Utd about 3 weeks ago.

Firmino is really good,
I'm a big fan of Bacca

Not seen Rondon play a full match once so I can't judge!

Firmino's awesome and I won't complain if we get him, but if we're signing someone from Hoffenheim, I'd choose Volland any day. Can play up top or out wide, more of a goal scorer, whereas Firmino is a playmaker

Volland looks a good player, but I would say Firmino is better suited to hitting the ground running now. Volland seems like another potentially fantastic player but not quite there yet

Ben Smith (BBC) has said the Hoffenheim owner told him they are resigned to losing Firmino, with the Brazilian moving to England

Seems between Liverpool and United, but United have a cooled their interest from a few weeks ago

Say Liverpool, don't see why United would really want Firmino considering it's the strongest area of the pitch with players like Januzaj, Mata, Di Maria, Depay, Young, Pereira.

Really not interested in Firmino, not a CM and we are so strong in CAM area.

Hopefully.. I dont think United do need him despite them having an almost unlimited budget. I'd much rather spend that money on positions you need If i was in charge

It 'could' mean that Liverpool are the only serious option

We've not so much sold for selling sake per se, but more we had little option in it.

Torres **** all over everyone the end of the winter window a few years back by forcing a move even after we'd signed Suarez, who was signed to partner him. Reina lost his passion and wanted out as soon as Rafa left and wasn't for turning. Then you'd Suarez who wanted out and there was no amount of money or even the title if we hadn't thrown it away that was going to keep him here. His wife was already living in Spain and he'd decided he was joining her. (Although that aside he had to go after what he pulled twice over. Couldn't keep someone like that.). And now Sterling has forced his own exit. That's about all the major sales the last 4 years unless I'm missing someone.

I aren't suggesting you are saying this, just running with it as its been banded around quite a bit; but it's totally unfair to say we've become a selling club under FSG when they didn't want to sell to begin with.

Torres wanted out 6 months before that. Told Reina he was seriously unhappy with promises that were made to him in that summer, and then broken. Suarez was too little too late. Reina too was unhappy with what he had been told, and with Torres and Rafa leaving.

No question. Whether he was ****** at promised reinforcements not arriving or not, Torres was a complete disgrace that last year. He was like a petulant little kid who hadn't gotten his own way and was just going through the motions.

He was actually broken to be honest, thanks to medical mismanagement. Something he never recovered from, his hamstrings are shot.

People blame Torres, but forget you had a mentally exhausted and physically struggling player who effectively had been lied to. His stance is an outcome of the clubs actions.

Liverpool were so reliant on Torres each injury he was rushed back from so hardly surprising his career has gone downhill.. Torres was Torres because of his explosiveness and he lost that

can you blame him, years of promised lie's. I mean he got his move won trophies that he would most likely not have won with us. we owe him nothing and he owes us nothing. simples.

No question injuries did for Torres and he was never the same player after the first hammi. The same as Owen.

But regardless, his attitude that last year was disgraceful. He just wasn't interested at all and it showed massively. Regardless of how ****** he was with the club and the substandard of manager/ players he was playing with, that was totally inexcusable. He was just barely going through motions most games.

I have little sympathy with him. He could of been an all time legend if he'd of moved on, given Kenny and Boston a chance to rebuildand and rolled with Suarez. Instead he continued his nark, took the money and his career has petered out to nothing.

I don't buy that. The club treated him very badly. I'm not someone who buys into only the player can do wrong. Why give them the chance when they had already failed to do so before. It's on the club as much as it is on Torres. And clearly they are lessons the club has failed to learn.
