Good signing for Pool will defo make up for losing Sterling! Just need some more quality now and especially a STR.
 
Have they actually signed him? Haven't seen anywhere that says he has.

Pretty sure his agent only said he was going to England, and that Hoffenheim have confirmed he will leave this summer.

It's not the same because United were actually in the mix for major titles, having won one two years ago. Liverpool's last major trophy was the FA cup in 06? Chelsea had just done the double two seasons before he joined.

Oh come on Mike,

You don't publicly turn around and say you've joined a bigger club, his exact words, when you've left Liverpool Football Club for Chelsea. This isn't some naive kid here. He'd just spent the previous 3 and a half years being hero worshipped at Anfield and knew exactly the stature of both clubs. For which there is NO comparison.

If someone had done the same leaving Utd for City, not talking about the current respective situations of both clubs on the field (of which there was little difference anyway), but openly said they'd 'joined a bigger club', Utd fans would rightly be up in arms at that disingenuous B/S.

Well this seems to be moving fast... Not completed but seems we have agreed a deal with Hoffenheim and the deal could be agreed fully in the next 48 hours

I wouldn't get carried away. You have "sky sources" which could be just about any garbage site as the only basis for an agreement.

Good signing. Would have been good to see him behind Sturridge in a 4231 with Coutinho and Ibe either side. Will be a shame to see Rodgers play him as WB :P

This is LFC we will somehow find a way to **** it up. untill i see him standing next to rodgers with his pearly whites and holding the lfc jersey i will sit here agitated. What a signing if it happens, a goal scoring midfielder finally.

Firmino's a 10, or a second striker right that can play out the left?

I hope he is pencilled in to be on the left as the little magician in the number 10 shirt already needs to be playing there and not on the wing as he's been shoved.

But then this is Rodgers so we're liable to have the two best technically gifted wing backs around in Phil and his mate with the Welsh Xavi playing the 10 role and Milner as a holding midfielder.

What could possibly go wrong?

Coutinho needs to play his natural position. The number 10 role. He's waisted wide. And that's still a woeful looking backline but it's what we're having to muddle through with.

skrtel has apparently rejected the contract offer, and illori's father has come out and said his son is staying and assured playing time. praise be to god.

I agree but I cant see Rodgers playing with a 10? Yeah that's why I said not bad :P Illori is no where near ready @ dilakh2.

Well, being as he's barely played with a 10 all last year and has woefully under utilised Phil's talents out wide you could well be right. Lol.
