I still can't decide if Arsenal fans actually want him, I mean, he's a top player, but do they want the trouble of having a person like him? A £50 million move to Madrid would benefit all, I'd say, bar the rest of La Liga.

Yh seems some like being the 'nice club' whilst some realise that they could probably do with a player that's a bit of a **** now that nasri has gone.

There's reason for booing Pepe. He was one of Spain heroes who forced that Barca shirt on Cesc. Some people remember these things and then large crowds follow and so on.

Hmm had forgotten about that, he was only 1 of a 23 man squad that did it tho, and certainly not the most memorable member!
Atleast the majority will have been doing it simply because he played for Liverpool.

£35 million and a realistic player of our choice... C'mon Madrid.

Who would you take?
Coentrao could be an option, he hasn't been playing that much recently has he?
Stick him at left back and hope he might occasionally remember how to defend.

Coentrao, Morata? Cheeky attempt at Di Maria even though its unlikely

Arsenal fans can't take a joke either. And they got more excuses than Amir Khan fans. "Oh it was Angel Garcia's fault" "Oh it was the refs fault"

Aha don't say that too loud, will just start that same rumour that goes round every month!

Add the Torres rumour as well... May aswell include Mascherano, Kuyt, Luis Garcia then i'll be a happy man!

Bring back 08/09 anytime you want!

Guardian have published this saying we've told Suarez to train away from the first team.
Outcast Luis Suárez is told to train away from Liverpool squad | Football | The Guardian

Good to see Rodgers putting his foot down but does make it seem even more likely he'll leave.

Very good handling of the situation for Rodgers.. leaves the door open still for Suarez but on his terms and not Luis'

No clause, no promises made, legal action wont help.. all down to Liverpool and Rodgers

Yh I feel the club and Rodgers has handled this summers Suarez thing quite well, certainly better than we have handled PR over the last 2 years!

BR is turning into one of the best things that's happened at Liverpool for a fair few seasons. Getting a fairly solid team together, playing much better football, has made some very good signings and getting more out of a few players that were getting a lot of stick.
Seems like he's had enough of the **** from Suarez now and is putting his foot down. Some form of deal with Madrid would be the ideal transfer for us both.

I'm not going to lie, its nice to see club manhandling whiny player for a change. :P

A lot of comments questioning as to whether Arsenal really is a 'step up'? Arsenal are playing Champions League football next season, Liverpool aren't in Europe for a start - Arsenal are most certainly more likely to be much more successful this season than Liverpool will be, and may I add I believe that is with or without Suarez at the Emirates. Of course it's a step up for Suarez, I agree a few years ago it wouldn't have been but now it most certainly is - Liverpool are fighting for Europa League this season and Arsenal are looking to mount a title challenge - in my eyes there is a big gap.

But the reason (other then money) most players are drawn to go to Champions League clubs, is because those clubs are competing for trophies on regular basis, if not for CL itself, then at least in their countries.

Arsenal on the other hand...

Arsenal mounting a title challenge is a more bigger joke than suarez has made himself right now.Arsenal has not won anything i may add for last 8 years.Arsenal are in champions league but are they gonna go far. ? You know the answer yourself if not check the record to know it.And liverpool are stupid if they wanna compete for europa league. It is proven point getting into europa league is a bigger disaster than actually not having it.

Apart from all the talk about Suarez saying Madrid would be hard to turn down, did they ever show any interest in him? From what I read they were not interested at all, it was just few casual words from Suarez that made the link and apart from that nothing.
