Has Sterling been getting passing lessons from Gerrard? What a quality ball that was.

9 in a row.

That was one of the games coming up I was most nervy about.

12 penalties Gerrard has converted this season! But you need these sort of things to go your way
in a title race

People now saying its luck as we have had 13 penalties this season.

The reason? the style of play, trickery in the area, Luis Suarez... our relentless play earns these penalties. At least 90% were stonewall..

Always looking for a reason

Yup. Perhaps 2 we have had this season I can think of possibly shouldnt have been. Studges dive against United (Although we then had more blatant one not given later on) and The one today was slightly iffy.

Pretty irrelevant to anything, but I think Barcelona sent a scout to watch the ref this game. Luckily he didnt disappoint ;)

tbh the reason is crystal clear

Gerrard has now scored more goals for us than King Kenny. I must admit I fell asleep at 0-0 because I was hanging however I look forward to watching MOTD on what appears to have been an interesting game. Can't believe that's our 9th straight win, wonder when the last time this happened in the Prem was.

didn't Arsenal get like 14 in a row like 13 years ago

Big Sam is a miserable ****. Both pens were rightly given and Carroll almost knocked Mignolet out! Not to mention we hit the woodwork loads again, that's 25 times this season. Looks like we will be winning the "hitting the woodwork league" again as we did last season!

Think it was 13, if we win our next five we will break the record.

I never said it hasn't happened before just curious as to who the last team to win 9 in a row were.. Not exactly a common run of form.

Maybe to you, but care to elaborate?

Lack of European games and early exits from both cups meant Liverpool could concentrate solely on the league from January. Not to mention Liverpool had a weeks rest more often than not before league games. Pelligerini and Mourinho can only dream of having such lax schedule. Will be very interesting to see how the Liverpool squad cope next season ...
