It's a case of good will-but very poor, dangerous implementation

Bad implementation is more likely to happen =P But anyhow, as expected, top clubs are in support for such a League, whereas the Championship and Lower Levels are completely against it, understandably.

Is this system anything like the German/Spanish system where they have B-teams competing and the like?

Anyway, getting away from the pointless, childish, irksome.....BS bickering.

Very surprised to see Rodgers supporting the B team idea/"Division 3" idea. Surely he knows it'll pretty much screw up the infrastructure/pyramid?

Not sure what's the point also. B teams cannot play in cups or cannot get promoted to championship. So at best these youngsters will be playing in league 1 or below where the standard is very poor on top of that they are risking something that is very unique with English football, history of lower leagues.

Yeah it's just full of holes. I'll post the article and interview with Greg **** on the thread. It's erm......interesting to say the least

It has been presented very poorly with some questionable inclusions but the idea itself is very good in my opinion

The likes of Barcelona, Sevilla, Madrid have seen massive improvements by having their B sides in the division below theirs. It gives youngsters the chance to compete regularly at a higher level and therefore improve alot quicker. (Even League 1 is a big step up from the u21 leagues)

Each side has to have 20 home grown players out of the 25 so it would only benefit future English players, but i can also see why lower league clubs wouldn't want this to happen

Nowhere in the world is the lower leagues as competitive and as watched as in England

On a personal note: I would love to see the LFC youngsters in the lower leagues

Like you said nowhere in the world lower league is as popular as in England. So with this rule all it does it killing the lower league clubs. England is unique not because of PL brand but because how it preserved the history of lower league clubs and how many people follow them.

I was in favor of B teams and I'm sure I posted it some 2-3 years ago but I changed my opinion when I read more about lower league clubs. No way they deserve this treatment IMO.

I can't quite comprehend what the point of it is though? Is it a league designed purely to **** off Football League clubs, or is it going to win us the World Cup? If it wins us the World Cup then I'm in complete support of it and Greg **** should be knighted fourteen times. If he can design a league that will help Liverpool win the Premier League I'm all for that, too. oO)

Meant to improve the England team by 2020 odd. It's all very well having more English players in the top flight. counts for nothing if the coaching is total pants

It's staggering how many people can't recognise this and are happy for the top clubs to **** it all up, just so that their team can get slightly better youth development. They don't seem to realise that this is a change that will have serious ramifications for every level of the game.

The heart and soul of English football is that I can go to watch my local club in the ****** Ryman South league and there will be 200 odd people there week in, week out. It's in the little clubs and in the dreamers that climb the divisions, the old names looking to make a resurgence and the young guns who will do as much as possible before they start to fade. English football is a rich myriad of stories and individuals, that's what makes it so special. These changes are more than happy to wipe it all away in a vain effort to turn our setup into little more than a production line for top class players. I don't know about you, but if it's a choice between watching England be a bit less **** once every 2 years (even then, this isn't going to address our actual problems) or keeping the joy and the tears that so many non league fans get week in, week out, then it's an obvious one.

Chelsea top of the league for 9 weeks, bottled it. Doesn't matter we were never in contention, Jose knows what he's doing.

Liverpool top of the league for 5 weeks, bottled it. Most hilarious thing ever, how could they let it slip!? TROLOLOLOL

#moreChelsealogic

I never said we never bottled it bud, i said the other day whoever wins it 2nd, 3rd and 4th placed all bottled it at some point this season.

Lingering, bad smells, etc

(huehuehue)

Smells of success lol.

Isn't it about time this whole Chelsea/Liverpool thing was put to bed?

At least up until sunday, at least... I mean, It could get even worse if Liverpool do somehow win the Premier League

I'll need to be banned from FM-Base for the weekend if we win the league.

He's also one of the best footballers on the planet, so I think he contributes more to 'football' than 'anti-football'. Ashley Young on the other hand, well...that's a different story.

Hey I was just pointing at a coincidence ... But yes Suarez is a great footballer (he's also an odious ******* of a character but as far as Im concerned thats not so important).

Oh and on the subject of bottling it ARSENAL are the undisputed world champions of bottling it ...

not a hope in ****
You realise I was joking, right? And we do have a chance, just a very slim one. Have you forgotten what happened in the 2011-12 season?

True, and also true. I wasn't saying Suarez wasn't a diver, just that he is also a talented footballer, so he can't really be accused of ruining football. Obviously, it doesn't make his diving acceptable, but I'm just pointing it out.

More chances of United getting back into the top 4 next season. :P

You lot never fail to bring up Liverpool. Whether it's on the forum or in the ground.
