I think once Sturridge is back you will be a totally different proposition, you can never really replace Suarez one of the few players in the world IMO who is close to Messi and Ronaldo. Think Sanchez would have been a really nice fit for you guys too shame it never worked out and he went to the gooners
I agree, I think we will improve no end... The Sanchez deal was a big blow for us, would have been a perfect fit

money talks offer the wages the top players what and they will come buying kids for the future is good but what about now??.. balotelli worst striker i can remember us haveing pure rubbish milan must be laughing there **** off

We don't have the money of the top clubs - Look at the differences in recent net spending and wage bills. It's not as simple as that and that is the problem with us being out of the Champions League for so long and having previous owners who nearly bankrupted the club

As for Mario, he is being used incorrectly and it is 11 games into a season - people are too quick to write everything off and dont give anytime for new signings whatsoever

And instead you would have given Chelsea the chance to hold the ball deep and make the most out of Fabregas. There isn't an easy answer to the problem, which is why sides have struggled vs us so much.

The best solution would probably have been to clear it long then press relentlessly but the game didn't progress in a way that made that easy. Lpool blitzed us early, as lots of sides have done, so by the time we came into the game (and got far enough up the pitch to make our forward press come into play) they didn't have the energy to pressure our backline and pivot.

True, there isn't an easy solution, but just something I would of thought about doing instead.

If they'd play long they'd just give away possession and be forced to attack the ball deep in Chelsea's field, exposing themselves even more. So no.

Well, I'd be willing to give him more time if I actually thought its a good transfer to begin with. Lets not pretend that it was a no-brainer signing and people just turned against Mario for no reason. It was controversial idea from the start, so of course there's a backlash.

It was a risk and there were negatives and positives for the reasons behind signing him but writing off a player after 11 league games is laughable.

And that relates to every new player

I wrote him off the moment he was announced, so I don't see how on god's green earth I am supposed to stop writing him off because he's only been completely **** for 11 games.

I mean come on. You sold world class player because of his attitude problems, and replaced him with average player with similar attitude problems. You go to admit it just ******* weird.

At no point was Balotelli a good fit for Liverpool. he's here because he's a marquee name. Bony was the far superior option

Judge him after the season, judge him when Sturridge returns and he has a strike partner... Like usual people are rarely given a chance

It's nothing to do with rarely given a chance and everything to do with how Balotelli plays and how Liverpool try to play. Also the fact he isnt as good as people make him out to be.

Like i said, judge at the end of the season not after 11 games

It's not just a case of Balotelli coming good, but having a fundamenal shift in his mentality and how he plays, and at no point while coached by better managers than Rodgers has he shown this. It's an obvious massive gamble from the start, and needlessly so.

Not going to lie I was so happy to see coutinho being subbed off today. Some of the runs he made at our players reminded me of what Hazard does and he was the one Liverpool player who was really making me nervous when he was on the ball.

Oh don't get me wrong, I do see your point of giving player time to gel with the team. But at the same time it wouldn't be pointless from me to withhould judgement on a transfer that I already thought was bad to begin with.

The only thing Mario has to do to prove the naysers wrong, is to start playing better. Unfortunately a lot unlikely things have to change for that to happen. He needs to change his attitude , which he most likely wont. He would also need to magically start to actually fit into your team, which is even less likely, unless you somehow get 4-5 new first squad completely overnight, or Rodgers decide to change his style, when he's already proven to be very stubborn about sticking to it despite the odds.

Long story short, its not looking good.

Yup. And now imagine they actually had mobile intelligent striker upfront. Someone who could drag people out of position making ever more space for Coutinho, instead of Balotelli standing there like a lemon. You'd be neck deep in trouble.

I do agree it is looking far more likely that the deal will not work out, but i refuse to write anybody off after such a short amount of time

His attitude, work rate doesn't work in the current set up but when Sturridge returns he will be a lot better suited. Ive said it so many times but the only evidence of that was when we won 3-0 away at Tottenham and looked the best we have by a long way this season

Balotelli and the diamond will click. Wait for Sturridge to return. Mark my words.

He had some good moments as well ... Hazard would have scored a couple if it wasn't for him

Instead of making Johnson the scapegoat as usual, have a look at Gerrards performance. He had an absolute shocker. Left the defense exposed time and time again

Have said it before,Stevie cant play as a DM he cant mark.Especially with Suarez gone he cant use his long balls. The best performance i have seen so far from the skipper was (i cant recall the game) when he played behind balotelli for last 20 min.

Rodgers must find a different role for him and soon as we are at verge of loosing Lucas (who i really like) pretty soon.
