Is it just me who thinks Sterling is overrated? I like the kid, but he's not that good...

No, I think He's overrated too.
In fairness, that goes for most British sports 'stars', regardless of the sport.
They get built up as the next great hope by the British press and public, start believing their own hype and then fail miserably.

I'm also a boxing fan and have seen it happen time and time again.

Yeah it does seem to happen a lot, but I don't think Sterling will get much better than he is, if a £50 million bid came in, I would have to accept!

you have summed it up perfect there especially the bit about the boxers England hasent had a top world champion the last 10 years beside froch an hatton

I agree with the initial point but atm English boxing is as good as there is out there bar a few from other countries.

Boxers in general are overhyped, mostly because hype = money. Promoters are employed to.. well.. Promote. Hence why boxers you've never heard are hyped up so much.

I wouldn't say there are currently any "over-rated" English footballers, in fact, we are often quite unappreciative of home-grown talent.
