id avoid tbh, his injury record is appalling weve got sturiddge for that. plus he doesn't suit our style were not a crossing team. much prefer vietto if we can convice him

Markovic has not been worth 20mil (but has a lot of time still) and Ibe was almost an unknown option at the start of the season

but if markovich was a gamble. could we not have gambled on ibe and saved ourselves some money... im just thinking here.

Then majority of people, probably you included, would slate our lack of spending and ambition

expect that's what the management is there for, identifying what is needed and what is not. we as fans can complain all we want but you don't have to spend big every summer to find good players. all im saying is money was wasted because we were like a kid in a candy store.
 
Seen we are linked with Kovacic, would be a decent signing. Personally always wanted us to try for Higuain, can't help but believe with the right bid and contract you could take him from Napoli...

never seen kovacic play is he any good, considering we got coutinho from inter id happily shop back there.

from what I've seen of him he seems good, only seen a few games mind, Asking price would be around £20 million though, so depends how good he does on a consistent basis!

Was very good last year but dropped off big time this year. Maybe just a hangover from WC. Very good player but has been very inconsistent this season.
 
you know what i hate when people try and compare oscar with coutinho. no just no one is a glorified workhorse whilst the other is a beautiful footballer.

You could argue the fact that Coutinho's stats would be better if Liverpool had better finishers this season, but a glorified workhorse? Typical fanboy comment. Not to mention the fact that Oscar has been absolute **** for the past few months.
 
Both Coutinho and Oscar are fantastic young players, which I would take either one at Utd. I would say they are very similar performance wise, Oscar has just had a bit of poor form to contend with. Would most probs just give the edge to Coutinho on dribbling and maybe Oscar on passing. But they really ain't nothing between them IMO.

You can't know about football if that is your opinion on Oscar, the kids brilliant.

Agreed though Coutinho is better but Oscar is class!
 
It almost seemed inevitable, but Depay on his way to United then and Paul George's Ntep seems to be the second choice

Not seen the lad play but I have a feeling this could be a recurring theme this summer

Have seen him play about 7-8 times has sheds of potential and bags of pace. The only thing I would say I've noticed about him is he can lack effort at times a drift in games. He sorts that out could be some player.
