that is true. but if rodgers had stopped faffing about with the team then im sure we woulf have come 4th or better. but hey shoulda woulda coulda.

Don't you consider that without injuries, we would've been better off?

not necessarily, if van gaal had stopped messing around with the team e.g rooney in mid etc... you would not have gone through that period were you were **** poor yet still somehow picking up points.

And the reason was because of injuries....

Herrera was injured for a while...carrick as well..and di maria

Who else did we have?...What were out other options?

not being able to string passes together along with no idea or system of playing in that period cannot all be blamed on injuries.

Because of injuries...

Van gaal was never allowed to field a consistent starting XI, therefore, there was no chemistry whatsoever

He was chopping and changing systems to fit the little he had to work with...

And that included promoting youth that i never even heard off

It's the mark of a good team. Playing badly and still getting points. Liverpool should take notes.

Johnson must have some dirty secret over Rodgers to still find a place in the first team. Also as much as I like Can he isn't a DR.

Its very interesting how Chelsea fans make fun of Gerrard for slipping with Terry lost the penalty in the final the same way.

They got over it after winning every trophy they possibly could.

Meh that's football fans. Plus JT won the CL four years later after his slip in Moscow so it doesn't really hurt/ annoy us to hear it, whereas Gerrard's slip cost you the PL title which he'll never win.

apparently he used to have a clause in his contract that meant he had to play if he was fit.

"I have huge respect for him. He's the best manager in the world in my opinion. I would have signed for him on three occasions if I wasn't such a big Liverpool fan. He's the reason my head was turned on a couple of occasions but he knew why I couldn't do it, because I love Liverpool Football Club. It always means more when you win for your people."

gerrard post-match interview. he may never win a league title, but he will be rememebered far longer than those who may have won it. legend.

A sense a little bit of bullshit, originating from people who are anti-Rodgers/Johnson. Despite what people think, Johnson hasn't done much wrong recently when picked

I'm not Johnson's biggest fan but I agree. He certainly hasn't been one of our worst performers. He's a very calm player and hasn't done much wrong all season. To be honest I don't know what fans expect of him.

i would happily have him at the club next season as a backup. Provided he takes a huge wage cut.

Yes I agree... I wouldn't mind Johnson staying at all but he needs to be on a wage of 40-60k rather than the 100k+ he is currently on to reflect his ability/team status
