I dont think it is going to be as bad as some make out.. Without doubt we struggled this year in periods and the other teams will strengthen this summer but it will depend on our transfer activity as well

I am very confident in saying a fit Sturridge and we would have come fourth this season and everything would be rosy right now.. that was in part bad luck and bad recruitment but if we get it at least half right this summer we may surprise a few
one player doesnt make a team mate. even if we had sturridge this year whos to say the way rodgers sets us up that he would have got support. the guy ffs was playing raheem sterling wingback no wonder he wants to leave. i was right before and i guarentee i will be right again. rodgers ******* off will be the best thing that will happen this summer for lfc. oh and sturridge will never be fit for a whole season as our main goalscorer. dont worry we could have had remy but now we have rickie lambert to lead the line and take us to glory. pfft right recruitment this summer, your forgetting this is LFC our main strike target is fecking benteke aka carroll 2.0.

I'm trying so hard to find the enthusiasm but failing miserably. I just don't see how he wins back that dressing room.

Here's hoping you're right or else it will be a LONG year.

Total, if related aside, I was looking at the teams that have made the Europa groups for next year already and we aren't even looking at being in the first pot. We lag behind Tottenham in the coefficient stakes. TOTTENHAM! 2005 we were top 3 in Europe.

If ANYONE says you're better off without Europa League football slap them around the head. HARD!

It does make me laugh how every comment made reverts back to Rodgers with you... I am merely saying we lacked a striker aka, we lacked goals.. again part recruitment, part bad luck

If Sturridge contributed those extra 10+ goals, who knows what would have happened

The dressing room will be an interesting one if he has indeed lost it but even after this terrible terrible season as some fans have put it we have came in 6th position.. Like i've said previously, I dont know what you expect but I think we will need to over achieve to come any higher than 5th next season anyway

Yep. Tottenham have took the competition seriously or at least more so than others and it's showing

If by some magic we do qualify for CL regularly again, without regular european football we will struggle every year. Look at Man city when they first got in, pot three and four and struggling most years!

oh my bad. but your forgetting that someone has to set up the team to play. that someone is the brodge.

And i am confident Rodgers would.. It was his tactics and personal changes originally that got our season back together (after initially being stubborn to change it at first. granted)

Echo are reporting Milner and Ings are close to joining, whilst Clyne offer will be increased to around 15million overall..

In my opinion Milner, Ings and Clyne for roughly 20mil is a good start to the window

And then didn't have a clue how to change it when it went **** up post Utd in a run in that made the beginning of the season look half decent.

Excellent additions for that outlay. It seems you have learned a lesson after taking too many risks on unproven, untested players last year.

Agreed, but i also think the players didn't do themselves justice.. after Utd/Arsenal top four looked over and the players played like it was aswell

considering united nearly balls it up themselves. we could have certainly got back into the top 4 positions with half decent form. but rodgers inability to motivate his players meant we went full ****** mode and hence our relegation form and picking up 7 points (of which 6 points were from 2 of the teams that were the relegated clubs) out of 24 points.

Getting Milner and Ings is a good start to the transfer window with the potential addition of Clyne will help to strengthen the first 11. Hopefully that's not the height of it though and there are a couple big players brought in.

Rodgers takes portion of the blame, but I know it may be hard to understand but not everything wrong at this club falls on Rodgers' doorstep

The players were **** poor and it's hard to see the most in form team in the country suddenly fold after two defeats because the manager is all of sudden useless and cant motivate them

*Sighs. My only hope is we've asked him to take a break until Christmas.

First Ancelotti. Now Klopp. Seriously, just HOW have we managed to **** this up so spectacularly?

I'm just about through with FSG too at this point.

You didn't **** it up, Klopp was never interested as it stood.

Now I like Milner, but I'd hope we didn't pay 10 mil signing on fee and 150k p/w, that's too much.

I like milner too but isn't he another Henderson?
I think we need a more solid dm.

So Rodgers likely to stay but he has to accept the transfer policy currently in place... Says a lot about previous signings made as well

Source? The meeting hasn't even took place yet.

He's quoting the Mirror, so it's probably not true.

Meeting with Mike Gordon have been going on for a week now, Werner's come over to 'conclude' the meeting today or tomorrow.
