worst descison rafa made was letting pako go. his an excellent fitness coach, heard ingelthorpe is also being promoted this should be good for the youth players as he knows them very well. only problem is will rodgers give them a chance.

He should if he wants a chance too.

To be fair to Rodgers, he's never had a problem giving youth a good chance right through.

Which all makes the Sterling situation even more reprehensible.

Rodgers has flaws but I don't think giving the youth a chance is one of them

Liverpool fans need to stop having this idea that we have a God given right to finish in the top 4 every season and anything else is a disaster. Otherwise we'll be calling for the managers head every single year.

Yeah, I REALLY fear if we don't have one **** of a dramatic turnaround next season, the little genius will be in either Barcelona or Madrid this time next year.

He's WAY too good for this ****.

Best #10 in the Country. Now if only BR would play him in that position consistently .....

Coutinho's gone... we all know it's just a matter of time. Hopefully that matter of time is not next summer haha

So we just signed Ings on a free? That's a really good signing, imo. Does anyone know how much compensation we have to pay? I know Spurs bid £12m a few days ago out of desperation, but hopefully we're not forced to pay a ludicrous amount like that!?

Chelsea paid around 7 Million rising to 10 Million for Sturridge, so I think it would be in the range of 4-5 Million.

Liverpool may have to pay as much as £8 million to sign Danny Ings despite the striker's Burnley contract expiring this summer, according to reports.

The Reds remain favourites to secure the services of the 22-year-old despite Tottenham lining up an eleventh-hour £12 million bid, and had hoped to bring Ings to Anfield for a compensation fee of around £4 million.
However, the Daily Mail reports that the striker, who scored 11 goals despite Burnley finishing 19th in the Premier League, could be subject to a record compensation payment of £8 million.

Liverpool FC have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Burnley striker Danny Ings, according to reports today.
The Reds had hoped to agree a £4m deal with the Lancashire club in order to avoid a tribunal should they sign him in the summer, but Burnley are reportedly willing to force the issue to ensure they get the best price possible for the forward.
Burnley are said to be hoping for a fee of around £6.5m for Ings, which would be a record tribunal fee for a player.
Clubs must pay compensation if they seek to buy Under-23 players whose contracts are up, and with Ings' deal set to expire in the summer, Liverpool wanted to agree a deal with Burnley earlier.
Now, however, they may face a bidding war for his services.

Maybe 6-8M

Everything I've read from a Liverpool point of view suggests it will be no more than 5 million

Liverpool signing both Ings and Milner for free in the space of a week... What kind of sorcery is this?!

Best #10 in the country. lol.

Mock at your leisure but it doesn't change the fact outside of Hazard there's not a better playmaker in the League. He's certainly as good as anything you care to mention. All his game was lacking was goals which he's now started to add.

Sadly for both Phil and L'pool, he's another player who often gets played out of position instead of his natural #10 roll which negates a lot of what he does best.

Before Tottenham's desperation to talk to him first, the general consensus was around £ 6 million tops. Now they reckon it could push up around the £ 8 mill. mark. No doubt Burnley will be pushing for as much as they can, but one would hope whomever sits will take into account the nature of Tottenham's bid and just where Ings would still be at without it.

.

Yeah few good games and form means he is obviously best in the league. Good to see you are unbiased by saying Hazard was better, I was expecting you to say Phil is the best.

Reading yourself on Utd the irony there is so thick it's blinding, but again, feel free to mock at your leisure.

Those that know on Coutinho, which is growing by the game, know.

Lol. To be fair, Ings has been just about the worst kept secret in football the past 2 months. The only question has been how much he'll ultimately end up costing L'pool.

Very happy now it's 'officially' confirmed. Growing young forward who add's both better depth than what we have and a threat off the bench that has to be accounted for. And one who's still young enough to mould with better coaching. All for next to nothing.
