Doing some decent business, some questions over Clyne's lack of assists but good summer so far.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Inter brought him in on loan with an option to buy. But still even if it is just a loan, the best thing for Liverpool is to just get him out of the club. I was surprised when you signed him in the first place, I wouldn't touch him with a barge-pole.

I was actually thinking a couple of weeks ago that Bournemouth should try and get Lambert in on loan or something. Would be a decent signing for them.

TBH Kovacic has been pretty poor this season, and has defo not pushed on to next level I thought he would after 2 good seasons.

The woefully average footballer (but great athlete) that is Jordan Henderson not withstanding, I don't get the hype over Kovacic.

Yeah, he's potentially going to be a very tidy player. But he's still developing and is by no means the finished article. And certainly not worth what Inter are asking. Watching a fair bit of a Italian football like yourself outside of just Milan, he certainly din't stand out in his deep lying playmaker role for Inter last year.

It's a catch-22.

He's integral to our system, because of what he brings. A non-stop motor. But he's the very definition of mediocrity as a footballer. When the rest of the team is flying, ala 2 years ago, he looks decent. But when the team is struggling, and others aren't carrying them, players like that stand out like a sore thumb and look what they are. Average.

Hendo is your typical modern day player. A great athlete but with little ability. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate what he brings with his work ethic and his attitude. But all things being equal we should be looking at better in the first XI.

And we've done that **** for years too. Just bought slightly better than what we have just because.
