Manquilho loan been ended.

Shame. Thought he had potential and looked real solid defensively the few times he got a game. But if we weren't gonna' play him. Sighs.

Really liked the look of him when he played in Spain and for you guys. Should have played more imo. Should have signed him.

Instead we paid £18 million on the wrong frigging Spaniard who started well, then got so bad by the season's end it was a cringe worthy watch.

And he's the only LB we have. YAY!

There is still a lot of time for Moreno - There wasn't many who were calling it a poor deal at the time

There wasn't many who knew too much about him at the time we signed him. It was like 'phew, £ 18 million for a kid with just 2 La Liga season's under his belt? He'd better hit the ground running because that's a heck of a gamble on potential' ..... at least from those I know.

See absolutely nothing in him to justify anything like that. Defensively he's shockingly bad and he stopped contributing at the other end the longer the season rolled. As a straight LB in a 4 I can see him getting even more exposed. But Rodgers insists on pacey FB's that can get forward so he's there by default even when/ if Flano get's healthy. Manquilho, who was solid defensively first and foremost, seems to of suffered the same fate.

There's still time but colour me very unimpressed to date.

I watched a lot of Moreno prior to his move to Liverpool and he was fantastic for Sevilla. He will always be suspect defensively but it was his athleticism and attacking threat that caused a constant threat to the opposition

He has been poor this year - but he was very highly rated when he joined Liverpool and I fully expect him to be our Left Back for many years to come

The funny thing is we were actuallu also linked with bertrand and the abuse he got from lfc fans who didnt want him was astonishing. yet he has been better than moreno and was named in the team of the year.

It's not as simple and there is no guarantee that Bertrand would have been as good for Liverpool. Soutampton play very compact system and that's why their defense is greater than sum of it's parts. They have 2 excellent DMs and 2 very good CBs.

Liverpool play lot more open and don't have defensive cover, so it's not given that he would have been success. Also Moreno was much better prospect when he was at Sevilla. Still think Rodgers didn't use him properly.

I was on of those who doubted the potential signing but Bertrand has been very good this season

Look at Lovren - One of the defenders of the season at Southampton and was incredibly poor for Liverpool this season.

Sterling is acting very professionally. Missing the training and doesn't want to go on a preseason trip with the team. Nice start to his career.

No matter what has gone on before it seems like a matter of time before he leaves for Manchester City, so why damage his reputation further by continuing to act up?

I don't think it's very clear cut. Liverpool are set on their price and City might feel it's way OTT. So Sterling doing his part to bring the price down.

It would be hilarious if City back down and Sterling stays at Liverpool.

I think it's a matter of time before City come back with some offer that eventually reaches 50mil, if not all up front

It certainly would be interesting... Even if he was to stay and run his contract for two years, the tribunal fee alone would be 20mil+ you would imagine

Yeah, I think it's a ploy to get asking price down. He isn't the first one to do it though, it's getting highlighted more as it was a long saga and a bigger story.

He's a horrible, jumped up little ****bag.

He's now saying he can't work with BR. The one man who's gone out of his way and been like the preverble father figure to him. There's been a **** of a lot of ****, that's been repeated on here and countered, in the media about poor little Raheem when ALL the attention and problems have been of his OWN making.

I honestly don't know why ANY club would want to touch him. You can see him going to City, then pulling this in another few years to get a move abroad. He's one of the worst examples of entitlement that money has given the modern day player. Horrible, lying, money hungry ****bag who's not half as good as he thinks he is.

Openly turning on Rodgers today tells you ALL you need to know about the person Raheem Sterling is.
