I hope he doesn't become the new Carroll.

£32.5m for Benteke...... jesus christ, what a way to waste the Sterling money.

No argument here. Anything North of £20 million is seriously overpaying for him IMHO. (Aside from the fact he's COMPLETELY the wrong type of player for a footballing side.).

IF this goes through, it TOTALLY negates the £40 million they worked so hard to get for Sterling.

The window would go to our best since '99 to a big *** 'sigh' to me. It would completely put a damper on it.

The only thing that could possibly save it is if we went and added Reus or the like. If Benteke took away from that and was our final business, ****** wouldn't be the word.

Not a chance mate, hate to crush your dreams but in reality it just would not happen.

Im not sure how Liverpool could not find a better way to spend 32.5m pounds. Im not saying Benteke is **** or anything but there must be other players out there better for that price. I read Napoli only wanted a bit more for Higuian.

Reus? I very much doubt it will.

But I'd put up good money that if we seriously went in for him it would have a **** of a good chance.

But someone of that ilk would be the only thing that would make any Benteke purchase palatable.

It completely beggars belief.

I'd honestly rather of saved the money and given Ings his head the first half of the year and hope Daniel makes a full recovery than do this as seems inevitable.

Im surprised Liverpool did not have a dable at Llorente and Moutinho even Will Carvalho all for sale this Summer and would be cheaper than Benteke and better players.

Benteke is a very underrated player by lots of people and could be great for Liverpool, but only if they adapt to him. Seeing how badly Rodgers used Balotelli last year, I would not hold out a lot of hope.

Well the later two would be no upgrade on anything we have, and I personally wouldn't touch Llorente. No pace for the English game.

But as you noted, there's certainly FAR better ways to spend £32.5 million.

Llorente wouldn't move from Spurs for Liverpool and they don't need Moutinho. What they do desperately need though is a striker.
