I'll be a very happy man if Van Gaal continues to believe that

You might want to look beyond the media headlines. We actually won the league a few years back conceding 37.

The actual issue is that we are about 18 goals short in the last two seasons. We had far too many draws. United usually score about 80 a season. We've scored 64 and 62.

It's nothing to do with confidence, United tend to be somewhat porous in the last 3-4 years, what they were very good at is winning 2-1 or 3-1. What we have been really bad with is those second and third goals, usually because we have a real issue right now breaking down tightly packed defences. This is apparent to anyone who watches more than 5 united games and doesn't just read twitter. It's why we bought di Maria, why they obsess over Bale, why we chase Pedro, and why we seek another game breaker.

It was a genuine response, I do admire your confidence because I cannot see United improving on last year with the loss of De Gea, the reliance on Rooney and having little backup and not strengthening central defence despite you thinking its not an issue

There is still a month of the window left, but United are still a few signings short at least

But of course you're going to disagree with that

But it isnt the issue, I literally just demonstrated that to you. Again I have no idea why you mention confidence at all because I wasn't talking about being confident of anything. You seem to have totally misunderstood my post.
Last time I check DDG was still our keeper.

Anyone with a bit of sense believes that, because its absurd to think 4th best defense in the league will suddenly become a problem after the additions of Scheiderlin, Darmian and Schweinsteiger, all of which would improve defensive record of any PL club by themselves.

Also improving the defence isnt just buying a new defender. That's what Liverpool have been doing for last 3 years and it hasn't worked at all. It's about having consistency in selection, and having consistent protection in front of the back 5. Neither of which United had last season. You have to build a coherent system and structure. Not just chuck a name in and expect it to be fixed.

This ties into the point I just made.

Hold it right there, if you people are sharing ****, we deserve to be involved.

Meh, I aren't that cruel.

It's L'pool ****. It get's you all worked up and excited then fails to ultimately deliver what you crave and sends you to bed frustrated.

Couldn't do that to you.

I laughed at this a little more than i should have.

Try sending now..

Defo going back to the US next pre-season. LA and Boston to end confirmed. Just the in-between to agree.

More rumours of Adama Traore potentially joining on loan again... Still no credible source reporting it

Good young player and potentially could be brilliant, but not sure a one year loan makes much sense considering the options we have in att mid and attack

He's a winger right? Couldn't hurt.

And I completely agree about the midfield and attacking options. Everything is there with varied options to have one of the most exciting and dynamic attacks in the league. Certainly as good as anything else if utilised properly.

He really can't complain if he fails for a third year our of 4 with all the weapons at his disposal.

The less said about the back end the better but going forward it has the potential to be wholly exciting again.

Fabrizio Romano
@FabrizioRomano Liverpool is finalizing Adama Traoré deal with Barcelona.

Di Marzio joining the Spanish press in reporting the Adama Traore deal... Apparently met his buy-out clause of 10.6mil but Barca will likely have a buy-back option

Still nothing from the English press which is strange considering how advanced the deal is according to those
