Personally I've got a bit of sympathy for Rodgers, he actually did have one fantastic season with Liverpool, like LFCMarshal said, if a few unfortunate errors had not happened like Gerrard slip etc. he could very well of been looked at as a Liverpool legend. It's a very fine margin.

Got to remember that whilst his buys haven't been the best, losing your two best players at the club in different seasons is always going to be very tough with Suarez and then Sterling. One thing I'd say is that I doubt Rodgers could attract some of the bigger foreign names that a manager like Klopp would though.

Did have a shocking last season with Dortmund though and kind of bailed out. United fan clutching at straws here, IF he joins Liverpool I'll be surprised but know it will bring unity/fear factor back to Anfield.

He had ****** last season, yeah, but they had more injuries that year than entire US Army in Vietnam.

Not to mention the other star player being injured for large periods.

We went from SAS to having none of them available in such a short time - Not an excuse as the replacements were poor on the whole, but it wouldn't have helped in the slightest

I have to admit this Tweet from Miles made my have a wry smile

"Just ran a few sims on #FM16. Klopp gets the Liverpool job each time. Let's see whether the game is better than a physic octopus."

Man, you guys are gonna be so sad when you get someone like Unai Emery.
Would be happy with this choice aswell. Your making it sound like Emery is an awful choice. If he does come he'll bring Monchi with him whos transfer record is absolutely outstanding.

Oh the memories :D ;)

Pretty happy if it will be Rodgers

Players attacking football, possession football

If he can do this with players from Swansea, Then surely he can do well with better players at Liverpool ( no disrespect to swansea )

Will be good to watch!!

With the greatest of respect, that is one of the most naive things I've seen posted on here.

A certain Arsenal fan will be ****** you're stealing his mantle.

The Liverpool job will be attractive to any manager. Taking a big club with a fair bit of money to spend, back to past glories. Dortmund are NOT a bigger club than Liverpool. I don't see why Ancelotti wouldn't want the job. I still maintain that top players would rather play for last season's top 4.

I'm thankful for the great season he had with us. But the fact we didn't win it was his own downfall..

Suarez practically did 80% of the work needed to win the league. BR just had to give his 20% and sort the ******* defence out. He failed at it and that's why we didn't win the league.

You can blame the Stevie mistake all you want but he won us games practically on his own that season as well which more than make up for the 3 points lost against Chelsea.

Why isn't Guus Hiddink even mentioned? He's without a job, and is open to offers I believe.. no?

is there some catch? am I the only person who thinks he's a world class coach?

Klopp comes to Liverpool
Signs Hummels and Reus
Brings back Gerrard in a coaching role
Re-signs Reina and Agger
Liverpool finish 4th
Liverpool win FA Cup
Re-signs David N'gog

I was looking at that last week mate and there's far more in it.

He completely changed Dortmund's system the last year to accommodate what he was left with after sales. So that took adjusting to. 6 years in one system. Them jigging it to be stronger at the back and fit the players he had. And by the end of the year, he'd turned it around into a cup final appearance and a late run on the European spots.

So not as bad as people imagine.

Would be funny if you didn't get Klopp or Ancelotti. Would brighten my mood after yesterday ;)

I just think he had pretty much achieved all he could there before that season so it just got stale, winning bundesliga and champions league finalist is about as good as it gets.

Even though some people I know down the pub would be intolerable, I'd love Liverpool to be properly back fighting to be league champions and back in the UCL :P

Would be great to have United and Liverpool going for the league against each other too.

Maybe the next manager will bring them back up to the standard Liverpool FC should be at. I really hope it happens soon.

I think the players used correctly are definitely a team that should be looking towards CL qualification at least.

They just need to be ****** played in their proper positions

If Klopp does take over, I wonder how He will feel, moving* from an 18,000 square meter facility (with the Footbonaut) to Melwood?

*not moving directly of course. Being that He is currently unemployed, but you know what I mean.
