Oh, no argument there. He should of been bin bagged after Stoke last year.
But at least they've been pro-active and acted quickly this year which is a positive sign.

His goal was to get back in the Champions League. He achieved it.
He put up a formidable title challenge.
Last season if you won on the final day you'd have finished 5th. Two cup semi-finals.
Dalglish's reign in the league was shocking.
He's made some clangers in his decisions transfer wise and in his stubbornness with team selection and tactics but he's a good manager. The Liverpool when he took over to the Liverpool he left is closer to the other top clubs. Still a way off being title challengers presently but back in 2012 you were behind Spurs and Everton by some way too.

When Rodgers joined Liverpool finished 8th in the league.
All I'm saying is that Liverpool have not got worse.

I'm not going to pull apart the horrendous (save for one roller coaster season he could very justifiably be argued cost us the league as much as nearly winning it) reign of Brendan Rodgers as we're mercifully done with him.
Save to say we've never not been 'relevant' in terms of a draw. Who successive ownerships have chosen to target is a completely different story. Rodgers has played absolutely zero part in adding to that. If anything, his absolutely disgraceful 3 and a bit European campaigns would aid to damaging that relevance would they not?
So we'll say it's a theory. A ..... 'different' one. But a theory none the less.
I know some people have been talking about how you've swooped now because Mou is unstable, but what about looking at it a different way? Maybe Brendan was being given more patience until they saw Chelsea lose yet again and a spot in the top 4 suddenly looking considerably more realistic if you could get your **** together asap?

I was having that very same discussion with someone earlier who was suggesting the very same. That if Chelsea hadn't been so rank bad, he may well still be clinging on. But they're looking at your start, along with the indifferent form of everyone else, and thinking we should be capitalising and increasing a gap through our easiest run of the opening period of the season. Darwin and losing at home whilst still saying 'look, we're above Chelsea' and not increasing that gap just doesn't cut it.

Yeah my thoughts exactly. To add to my post a few pages back about NEEDING the champions league to survive next season - we now have probably the best chance we're going to have to get it.

His passion will be absolutely adored here. This really is a marriage made in heaven that I can see being a decade long or more one. If you're not a Liverpool fan you'll never understand and probably think it trite when people say there's a uniquely special bond between Liverpool FC and the supporters/ community it serves. But if you are, and have experienced that, you'll fully understand. And this crazy SOB with his passion and charisma fits that to a T. Love the fact he doesn't B/S either and tells it exactly like it is.
Hearing the wait might only be until Thursday. Like a kid a Christmas knowing what you've got but being forced to wait until the day to unwrap it ha ha.
