Loving this Pool defence right now, got Clyne and Moreno scoring me decent points recently long may it continue please!

That's 5 clean sheets in the 7 matches Lovren and Sakho have played together under Klopp.

Mad, mad World when Dejan Lovren is our best centre half like. But under Klopp, right here, right now, he's become that for me. Thought he was great again tonight. Won every header. Kept his passing simple. Just solid and commanding like he's supposed to be back there. Still can't score for **** from the corners he wins like, lol; but a COMPLETELY different player to what he was under the previous manager.

I keep meaning to catch a Pool game and give it some proper analysis but circumstance always dictates I cannot (Panto with the kids tonight)

Trust me. You missed little and probably had way more excitement at the pantomime lol.

But this time of year, it's not so much about performance as points with the games coming thick and fast and I'll happily take another 1-0 at West 'Am Sat'day dinner.

Shows how big of an effect confidence has on your game. And faith from your manager.

That's Sahko doing most of the dog work tbh. And Lovren taking his line, which is poor from a first defender tbh He dealt with everything last night, but it was mostly simple stuff. Think it's a bit quick to say he's been transformed because of Klopp. Not like BR didn't have faith in him. He just repaid it by being utterly rubbish. Sahko is quite comfortably the best defender at your club. He's the one that's going to count the most for the rest of the season, he actually leads that line, going to be vital as Klopp really isn't getting rid of Migs.

I wouldn't wholly disagree on Sakho being the best centre half at the club. (Joe Gomez excepted who's been a big loss this year along with Ings.). But under Klopp it's more than arguably been Lovren. Sakho's been poor since returning from injury. Better last night like but he's been all over the place the few games prior. Lovren's just been consistent right through if unspectacular. Struggling to think of a big mistake from him which was the norm game to game previously.

The biggest difference back there in the main has been defensive organisation. They're being coached defensively which certainly didn't appear to be the way at all the previous three season's. We've settled on a 4. And are, in the main, looking solid in that for the first time since Rafa. The defensive cover in midfield has helped massively too.

It's not so much faith in a particular defender, but getting it settled and having them just defend and keep it simple as opposed to formations back there changing multiple times in game a lot of the time and defenders being asked to overplay.

I don't fully agree with this, I think he's actually been quite good the last 2 games. He's even closing down attackers and breaking in front of them, which shows better timing and anticipation. Plus his passing and his clearances have been better, he looks more concentrated. But that could ofc be down to form alone, he's still very far from having convinced me. Sakho is our best defender imo, but his style scares me shitless, and being the best isn't too impressive tbh..

Very reminiscent of the plethora of texts from Blues (of the even more bitter local variety) through half time.

Except those texts completely ceased after those glorious 6 minutes. XD.

Thanks for that man.

Greatest

Night

EVER! ..... And for any Chelsea fans out there, we got there without 'scoring' a goal! How cool is that!

Henderson out for tomorrow which is a blow considering the two Brazilians are in horrible form. Sturridge still doing his mini-preseason.

Lovren+Skrtel is a disaster waiting to happen, but Lovren+Sakho works quite well.

Even as of last night (paraphrasing) ..... 'Yers sure yer not going down tomorrow? First game the year. Last game Upton Park' ..... 'Nah, yer alright. Upton Park's a s***hole. Always has been. Always will be. West Ham have more than their share of bellends. And I want to pay £55 for the privilege plus the train and bevvie money? ..... F*** that s*** right off! My next West 'Am will be Stretford for a new ground.'

That said, I hope we see our (hopefully) last visit there off in fine style and get another 3 points to set us up perfectly for the Arsenal and Utd back-to-backs. Confidence high. First game of the day. Time to put the pressure on everyone above, ask the questions, and sit back and see if they can match. We owe these for that shocking display at Anfield when we just never turned up. (Ironically the last real bad game Lovren has had this year being as he's the recent topic of conversation.).

Lucas in for Hendo was the natural change. Loving Ibe in the XI. Could of been for either Brazilian or Lallana as they've all been real poor recently so Lallana will do. Keep the handwork going Redmen. Match these for intensity, and you'll be headed for 9 out of 9 over Chrimbo. Love to see 2 or 3, but another 1-0 Benteke winner will suffice. Keep the habit of L'pool back to winning football matches going.

And Andy Carroll. WTF is going on with your hair lad? Yer misses braid them? Sort it out yer big tart yer haha.

Happy new year to everyone and let hope for a very good year for Liverpool.

Foul on Moreno in the build up, but Clyne should do better there.

What an absolute joke that is... The defending after was poor, but it was to be expected with a man down injured and West Ham on the counter from a stonewall foul.

You cannot get the ball from behind without going through the man
