Shifting expectations, many Liverpool fans dreamed of Reus and Mhkitaryan. In their minds it's a step down, which is true, but he's still excellentYeah, just reading reports down South saying those figures.
And completely agree as we have previously the United thread of Mane. I don't get the backlash on social media in particular to this one? (Aside from it's social media and everyone loses their head on there.). Perfect fit for us IMHO and exactly what we need up there. Quick, two footed, can play all across the attacking midfield three. Scores, creates. Yeah, needs to be more consistent but at least he's proven the PL over his two years so no fears there and hopefully Klopp will get that consistency out of him.
The pace to get in behind has been sadly lacking outside of Divock. Well made up with this pickup.

They'd of had Gotze to drool over if he wasn't such a stubborn ***.
The only downside with Mane, and it's not really that much of a downside all things considered, is we'll lose him along with Matip possibly through January/ early February every two years with the African Cup of Nations.
Exactly. You don't need Gotze, you do need ManeGotze is a top player but Mane suits us better. Melissa Reddy wrote this:
Sadio Mane: Different, versatile, speedy option for #LFC. Will add another dimension to the attack. Needs consistency, but has high ceiling
Not to mention prices this summer will be crazy. I mean West Ham are seemingly intent on splashing 35mil+ on a striker.
Perhaps we paid a little too much, but a front four of Coutinho - Firmino - Mane - Sturridge is very dangerous.
Throw in Divock's pace, the way Lallana improved massively as last season went on, along with the returning Ings and the attacking options are very interchangeable and exciting.
Attacking wise we are almost set - lot of variety and some decent options off the bench when everyone is fit.
I would be more than happy if we finished our business with a new LB (Hector ideally, but rumours of Bertrand again wouldn't be bad at all) and a CM who could partner Can

If the main targets come in, I'm quite exited to see United and Liverpool next season
Just wish you could get better than 9/1 on the latter.
its an interesting one, would seem as if punters are waiting on the transfer market before lumping on title winners, Arsenal, City and to an extent United still have potential big business to do you could also throw in Chelsea. Once they make additions punters may lump on so Pool may go out a bit maybe if you are lucky see say 12s.
That's what I'm chancing waiting and holding out hope on. Just want a bit better return.
Yeah its a risk but a calculated one I think, realistically I dont see Pool going past say 8s as it stands without significant backing. Bookies have pinned it all on Pep last I checked with city being something ridiculous like 6/4 or whatever it is. Given the rebuild and restyle that Pep will do imo there is no value at all.
