..... I have really high hopes for Grujic.....

Talking about this (kind of) in the car last night. Could well see more signings like that is in the January windows. Highly talented, say Eastern European kids bought for a snip and then loaned back to their clubs. All preparing to have the next player ready so, for arguments sake, Barcelona came in for Coutinho with silly money a year or two down the line, there's ready made replacements ready to step straight in. A conveyor belt system like he had going so brilliantly at Dortmund.

It was also amusing, and no less frustrating, overhearing some lads last night bemoaning perceived 'big name signings' going elsewhere and where's ours? HELLO! You happily signed off on Klopp last year knowing that's not the way he works and he's as good as anyone in World football at finding unheralded players that fit everything he requires and turning them into superstars. (Two glaring examples are City and Utd's biggest signings thus far this summer. ). Yet the very first window you're moaning that there's no ready made superstars bought by him! They just don't see the irony or contradiction there at all.

*Edit* Scrap Mikhytarian being as he did actually pay for him. Brain fart. But the point still stands.

Grujic is a good midfielder, he's been around for a long time ( here where I live) and he's pretty hyped. Problem with him is his head. Same as many other youngsters that comes from this area.

How so mate? On or off the field?

It's more of a barrier. If he can break it, he'll become great player.
As personality wise goes, you can't get much better player. From a young age, he's been involved in many charities, getting personality awards...

Ta for the insight. Looking forward to seeing him develop.

CONFIRMED: Norwich City sign Liverpool academy winger Sergi Canos - This Is Anfield

Excellent deal for all party's. Good luck at Norwich Sergi. Very good footballing side with a great chance of bouncing straight back the PL. We may even see you back in red in a year or two if you carry on developing.

And GTF Mingolet! Another great boost for Arsenal. Nice that he, Lovren and Matip in particular are getting the understanding together from the first day of pre-season:

Loris Karius pulls out of Olympic duty, hints at No. 1 role under Jurgen Klopp - This Is Anfield

I've actually just screamed with joy reading about Karius. Seriously. I may be cancer free a month from now if I see Karius in between the sticks.

First a rant ..... I've just had to tell some ******* idiot wools tonight who thought it prudent to sing about 'Danny Ings being on Fire' ..... SERIOUSLY? Yers first ever away dickheads? Do we look like a lower league club? We're L'pool FFS. We don't do **** songs that every other ******** club does! ******* idiots!

It was really bad at Tranmere. Getting asked to sit down when we were through on goal... shaking my head.

Yeah, absolutely fantastic commitment to the cause. Couldn't of blamed him at all if he'd wanted to be part of an Olympic Games.

Another one officially bites the dust:

Said all I've needed to say on this fraud of a player so I won't go over that again save to say it's more fantastic business to be down just £1 million 8 years after we bought him.

7 players out this window for a combined £12.5 million and counting.

Keep up the good work Jurgen lad.

Ibe now officially gone: CONFIRMED: Jordon Ibe completes £15 million move to Bournemouth - This Is Anfield

All the best Jordan lad. Great move for yers this. Replacing Ritchie, getting to play every week which you've needed in an attacking, footballing side under a boss young coach. Knuckle down, work hard, regain your confidence, and fulfil that fantastic potential every L'pool fan knows you posses and you could well be back at Anfield a year or two down the line.

£15 million for a bit part player, with a buy-back and sell-on clause in the deal? Another great piece of business on a £20.5 million selling day.

8 players now out this window for a tidy £27.5 million and counting.

By my reckoning that leaves us a net deficit of £- 11.2 million the window with 3 new starters in key positions added. 'Keeper, centre half and the difference maker Mane.

Keep up the great work Jurgen lad. Brilliant transfer window to date and it's only 2 weeks old!

Reading a thing on the current Mainz manager they seem to have found a guy who is madder than Klopp and as talented as him. Never mind all the good players they have produced the number of good managers they get is impressive

Got a link? Or is it not on-line what you've been reading?

Seriously can't wait to go out there three week's this Sat'day. Mainz look's a gorgeous little place in itself and that new ground of theirs looks a cracking little stadium when it's full. Throw in our second German 'Kloppo homecoming' love-in, in the space of 3 months or so and I'm looking forward to that even more than the opener at Arsenal haha!

Wasn't online but this is the highlights. The guy seems to be a nutter for extreme sports and managed to rupture his ligaments 7!! times. Owned a ton of kinda random businesses as he never played pro. In his first job as a manager starred in a naked calendar to raise funds. In his first off season break with the team he gave them some tents 2,300 metres up in the alps at -11 for the night.

Also in a ski race he broke two vertebrae in his neck but finished the race before going to hospital. Weirdest thing is he is a fan of yodeling.

Sounds our kinda' dude. He's freaking hilarious!

God, I hope they both get into it the touchline. That would be epically funny!

Ahh bollocks! Just as things we're going SO well .....

Joe Gomez injury leaves Liverpool searching for a new centre-back - This Is Anfield

Guess Andre Wisdom has now dropped lucky and will be kept until at least January for depth?

Utterly gutted for Joe too considering he's worked through all summer in an effort to be back for pre-season. Chin up kid. You're our future back there.

*Edit* Personally, I wouldn't be looking to sign anyone unless it's someone like the kid from Hoffenheim. Just keep hold of Lucas and Wisdom for now as a dirt cheep emergency option.

Of course, he might not want to come back. He can reject the buy back clause

Naturally. The same with any player at any club that has one. The sell on-clause as well just totally covers you.

But the options are there. That's the important thing. And will be there with any promising kid going forward we think has a chance to really turn into something but who we can't afford playing time to develop on our ticket.

L'pool finally getting smart in the transfer market. Not before time.
