Not at all.

Coutinho may go in the future but it has been almost silent thus far. The reason? He is not consistent enough for the bigger sides to justify the 45mil+ Liverpool will want

I 'think' Klopp has targeted him for his versatility and goals from midfielder. He can be used as part of a midfield 3 or in the 3 behind the striker.

He shown glimpses last season, and whilst there are concerns it was a total shitfest at Newcastle and with better players around him he could fulfil the promise he shown at PSV

we have genuine squad depth in attack for once.
Agree about the squad depth but 25 mill for GW is not good value. Just feel he isn't that big an upgrade on what we have. Plus were not in europe so game time could be limited for certain players. Will be interesting to see what happens to certain players e.g Milner, Lallana etc... Will they be happy playing just cup games.

Or equal to Ibe, Canos and Sinclar...

LOL. GREAT shout again. Our business really has been great this summer. With still a lot of outgoing to come and (crosses everything) at least a LB coming in.

You feeling happier on Klopp's vision, short term and the club he's building for the long haul, now than you were a few weeks back?

I see where he's coming from to be fair. His double digits tally is misleading. And he was invisible during the away games in a manner that can't simply be blamed on Newcastle being ****. He will need to get back to his PSV levels sharpish. That starts by putting in a much bigger shift than he did.

PSG mate. They REALLY rich.

Hey, they want to tip up and pay ******* stupid money like Utd are busy throwing around then they can be my guest. £50/60/70 million, I'd snap their hands off. NO player is worth keeping when it get's like that. And when that point happens, if it does, in the future, I think we'll be in a conveyor belt system where we have another quality young talent ready to step up. The way he's always worked. So we aren't left with our pants down like we were over Suarez scrambling round in a window to replace a departure. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see another 'Grujic' bought for buttons and loaned back to Eastern Europe again in January for example.

But until PSG or someone does stump up stupid money, he's going nowhere.

No question. But regardless of 4 goals in a game, and him being very bitty last year in his goal scoring spells, how many midfielders reached double figures? Martial, and I guess you call him that being as he's out the wing all the time, only got the same amount the league. For a **** of a lot more money. (And I like Martial a lot. It's not a player comparison.).

£25 million for double digit goals from midfield is a snip in todays market.

I wouldnt take value into it that much - It's gone crazy this summer. As i said to scouse, a Wijnaldum was the same price as Ibe, Canos and Sinclair.

Mental.

Completely agree - there are questions to be answered from Wijnaldum but i can see why he was targeted.

As mentioned above, fees are hard to compare to the player now because they've gone silly

Time left in the window, but still think we're lacking in a few important positions (LB certainly and CM)

REAL chance for A-A to bag himself the back-up RB role if Flanno goes to Burnley for the year. Been even more impressive thus far that he's looked a natural in midfield and wide when he's ostensibly been a RB coming through. Plus he's a Scouser and you can NEVER have too many of those in the side!

I thought Alexander-Arnold was a midfielder who could also play right back, not the other way around. I remember him playing that friendly at the start of last season at right back and hearing that wasn't his natural position. Regardless, he's looked impressive wherever he's played so far.

Very good CM. Can defo see him being a star in the future. Good technique passing and composure. Heard good things about him and that lad who scored the Peno can't remember his name :)

Federico Dimarco. Can confirm he's fantastic in FM :P

Yeah, I can't imagine Coutinho going anywhere unless he actually tries to force out a transfer. He's in that weird place where he's too inconsistent to attract big fees, but has too much potential to risk selling him for peanuts.

Was pretty much how Liverpool got him from Inter for so cheap in the first place except he wasn't as good then. When it happened I was quite surprised at the 8.5 million fee, knew he would be a good buy.

L'pool sign 39 year old on a 1 year deal.

Internet breaks down with all the idiots fretting over absolutely nottin'.

The rational ones just shrug their shoulders, say meh, and take it for exactly what it is. Very experienced 3rd choice cover (who all things being equal won't get anywhere near the actual field of play) who gives both another body as a training 'keeper, and offers vast experience to a very young squad.

Links to Meyer are surprising given the apparent imminence of the Wijnaldum deal. If it were a choice between the two I'd rather Meyer tbh

I seriously doubt we've much of any business left to do on the incoming side save for maybe a LB of some description. The manager was adamant he wanted everyone in for the start of the US training camp and he's got that. Which to me is another massive sign that he's in FULL control over most everything the football side. Times past we'd of dragged Wijnaldum on until the end of the window for the sake of saving a few million. But he doesn't want a situation like last year when players aren't going through his pre-season and he's having to get them upto speed tactically through the season so we've moved ubber fast and paid what he felt happy with.

Be more outgoings I feel from now on in.

Yeah I don't expect us to sign him at all. Wijnaldum could very well be the end of our business. Left back possible but looks unlikely at this stage
