Nervy game so far. Kompany should be off, Lovren up to his old tricks, and unlucky not to be level at HT. All to play for in the 2nd half.

Genuine question, why is it that a majority of fans of other big clubs (Arsenal, City (although they're more obvious in this context), United, Chelsea, Spurs etc.) absolutely hate the thought of Liverpool winning the title? Was in London a few weeks back and met lots of Spurs/Arsenal/QPR fans in particular and the consensus was "anyone but Liverpool". Obviously doesn't go for all fans of those clubs, but from my personal experience, a vast majority. I'd say United are more hated than Liverpool, but also more accepted for challenging/winning titles.

Obviously I don't want you to win the title, but the alternative is just as ****. If you deserve it, how can it begrudged? Irish LFC fans are ******' hard on the ear though, that's a big downfall.

Isn't that obvious? City, Chelsea and United are not going anywhere due to their financial backbone. Outside the rest of the top 6 , Liverpool's has by far the biggest potential for commercial growth. If they become a European powerhouse again top 4 will be financially out of reach for everybody else, Arsenal and Spurs are ****** and league becomes far less competetive.

You'll never hear the end of it if Liverpool won the title. At least if City do they don't have the fanbase big enough to gloat all summer!

That’s my main reason for preferring city over Liverpool to win it don’t know any Man City fans and know a few Liverpool ones

Great game. Deserved a draw but City had lady luck on their side today. Kinda glad to get that "unbeaten season" talk off our backs. Still 4 points clear though so not complaining too much!

Game could have gone either way. City got the luck today meh 4 points still in our hands. We will see what this team is made in the next couple of games.

Last time I saw a game that close was 1994 World Cup final. Top showing from both teams, draw would've been fair.

Top game. Breathless stuff. Both teams had moments of luck. Thought City just edged it. Both teams deserve to be where they are by a mile!

Do you really think your average football fans give it this much thought? Lol, you're giving them too much credit XD

I am in the camp of anyone but Liverpool. I don't dislike or have any bad feelings towards them i just don't like the media love in for klopp (and pochettino). Don't get me wrong both brilliant managers who i would of been more than happy to have had at arsenal but the thing that's ****** me off is klopp has been at Liverpool since 2015, pochettino at spurs since 2014 and neither of them have won
anything. Wenger in this same time period won 2 fa cups and was continuously slagged off throughout the media.

I dislike the amount of love both spurs and Liverpool have received in the media despite winning nothing, while another manager who has won trophies (regardless of whether you think the FA cup is a glamorous trophy or not) is consistently mocked.

For the record I fully supported the removal of Wenger, i just dislike the lack of respect for one manager who is winning trophies and mocked for finishing top 4 compared to two managers who are praised for finishing top 4 with no trophies. By all means both have done a great job at Liverpool and spurs, i just purely dislike the media bias.

Exhilarating match. Thought the Lovren/Alexander Arnold side was what beat you. Sane tortured them all night and both goals came on that side. TAA has seemed to have went backwards a little, at least defensively, but then he produces that left footed lob into the box so it's catch 22.

Thought Sterling/City could've had a pen but Taylor's never giving that with the scrutiny he'd be under.

Perfect result for the neutral; a class game and we don't have our league finished in January.

Thought it was a yellow but rewatched that Kompany challenge. That was a leg breaker if I ever saw one if he hits Salah's planted foot that would have definitely caused serious damage.

You’d have to ask them bud. I can speak for Evertonians but they don’t count as their whole existence revolves around hating L’pool way more than it ever did loving Everton.

I think a large part has to do with the Sky generation of fan who think football started in 1992 so don’t look upon us as an all time European great down to the title drought.

And I also think with those that do know their history, there’s a massive fear factor that if we win one, it will roll into another cycle of dominance. The same way we always looked at Utd that if they ever got it right, we’d have serious competition. As was shown when everything just aligned perfectly the right time. (Edwards floating/ the momey and forsight being there at the start of the new league et al.). Everyone can see that we’re as well run on and off the pitch as anyone now in a similar fashion. Add the size of club like United, which the likes of Chelsea and City can’t even dream of matching despite all their wealth, and the unique fan culture we have thats unlike any other English club, and I honestly think that fear factor of them Scouse btards getting it right again is whats behind a lot of it. Where as with Chelsea and City you can wear it as lasting as lomb as the moneys there.

That’s rhe feeling you pick-up anyways but you’d have to ask them. Shrugs.

It's not like understanding this takes a Nobel in economics. Everyone here celebrates when Legia Warsaw doesn't make Champions League. Being the only top-flight club from the capital they already have massive financial advantage and with CL money they'd become untouchable.

I don’t know how that came across the TV but that was an absoluting pulsating game of top level togger between the two best teams in this league by a Country mile. The way it ebbed and flowed ..... yeah, there were mistakes, and some of the passing and first touches both sides were off. But a real privilage to pay to watch another classic between these two.

NO problem our unbeaten record going like that. We had what, three cleared off the line? Kompany could have walked. Three superb goals. Every player giving every last ounce. A draw would probably have been a fair result and you’re naturally disappointed to not still be sat here unbeaten but that was a super game played ar times at a ridiculous pace.

When arguably the two top teams in Europe go at it like that, in as close a contest as that, decided by a wonderful goal like that (the fine margins huh? Sadio hits the post and its cleared off the line. Sane hits the post and it goes in); you just tip your hat to both teams, congratulate City on coming out on top this time, and walk away with your head held high.

Well done City. Did what you had to in a **** of a game and now it’s game on again.

Still well in our own hands with 17 to go. Can’t ask for much more than that.

Up the down but FAR from out Reds!

Is this the time to get old Stevie G back for a quick pep talk to make sure you guys don't let it slip now???

Just reading thats apparently the first time for Pep at City they’ve lost both the possession battle (49.5 -50.5%), and shots on target. (4-5.).

Such fine margins.

**** of a lot to be proud of tonight. Just one of them.

Kudos to Bobby for winning some prestigious Brazilian award for the best Brazilian player in Europe the past 12 months.

10 goals/ 4 assits now this season. Not too shabby for a roving #10.
